Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei in a meeting
with IRI's Foreign Minister, the officials of Foreign Ministry,
ambassadors and the heads of the Islamic Republic of Iran's missions
regarded the Islamic Revolution as the creator of a new logic and policy
in international relations arena under the title of "interactive policy
against the hegemonic system".
"The duty of an ambassador and representative of the Islamic Republic
of Iran is to make use of qualitative, strong and effective diplomacy to
push forward 'policy against the hegemonic system' which requires logical
persistence on the principles of the Revolution and basics of Sharia and
not being shameful because of these principles and basics," Ayatollah
Khamenei said.
Underlining that the practical implementation of " the policy against
the hegemonic system" is only belonged to the Islamic Republic of Iran, he
added: "In the system of hegemony, there are two side s: one is the
dominant and the other is the conquerable but the Islamic Republic of Iran
has announced clearly from the beginning that it is not dominant and does
not accept the dominance of any country."
Referring to the novelty of "the policy against the hegemonic system"
in the world and welcoming this new logic in international relations arena
by governments, figures and intellectuals, IRI Leader said: "The policy
against the hegemonic system has strategically strong backings and
supports, one of which is the great popular backing of the Islamic
Revolutions."
Stressing that contrary to some revolutions, the people's roaring
movement has not declined since the first day of the Islamic Revolution
till now, Ayatollah Khamenei asked: "Which country do you know that after
31 years, people's presence in the anniversary of the Revolution not only
declines but has remarkably surged and this backing of people's presence
is a very important issue which is exclusive to the Islamic Re public of
Iran."
He regarded the stunning scientific and technologic progresses of the
Iranian young scientists as another strategic backing of the policy
against hegemonic system, saying: "Another one of these backings is the
unique people's presence in the elections as the great symbol of democracy
that not only has declined but also has surged."
Considering the great volume of prosperity and construction works in
the country in different governments and broad social activities as other
strategic backings of the policy against the hegemonic system, Ayatollah
Khamenei stressed: "All of these strategic, morale-boosting backings pave
the way for the self-confidence of the representative of the Islamic
Republic of Iran abroad so that by relying on them push forward the new
policy against the hegemonic system on the basis of three principles:
dignity, wisdom and expediency."
He evaluated making use of the power of diplomacy to push this policy
forward as very important, adding : "The power and effectiveness of
diplomacy is not less than military, propaganda and monetary power and
even is more in many cases, thus in order to implement the policy against
the hegemonic system, one should make use of a strong and effective
diplomacy that is based on logic, wisdom and the morale of self-confidence."
IRI's Leader regarded that strong and effective diplomacy requires
firstly full belief in Sharia basics and the principles and thoughts of
the Islamic Revolution, saying: "In the arena of diplomacy, one should
persists on revolutionary principles and religious basics with national
self-confidence and without any bashfulness."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution spoke of insistence on
revolutionary and Islamic principals as the strong point of the Islamic
Republic of Iran's foreign policy.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that resistance accompanied by logic is a sign
of strength which compels others to respect it.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said in t he past years some were
under the illusion that to establish relations with the West, one should
adopt methods and procedures approved by the West. He continued that some
believed that adopting western concepts elevates our position. "But
western concepts are old and belongs to 200 years ago while the word and
policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is new and effective," Ayatollah
Khamenei added.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution acknowledged the Foreign
Ministry's efforts and pointed out Iran's diplomatic success in the face
of international challenges.
"In the nuclear issue for instance, despite the surge of slander,
propaganda, and pressure imposed on the Islamic administration, the world
powers couldn't achieve their goals which is a sign of mighty stature of
the Islamic republic of Iran," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
"Since the very beginning, the Islamic Republic of Iran clearly stated
that it seeks nuclear technology for peaceful p urposes such as energy,"
The Leader of Islamic revolution added.
Ayatollah Khamenei refuted allegations made by America, Britain, and
the Zionists and said they are well aware of their unfounded claims.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution continued that Iran has advanced
in nuclear technology despite all sorts of pressure and will continue till
the country becomes scientifically and technologically self-sufficient.
Ayatollah Khamenei expressed dissatisfaction with the IAEA and said
recent reports and conducts show that the organization doesn't act
independently and continued that such unilateral acts undermines trust to
the IAEA and the United Nations.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution spoke of developing the
anti-hegemonic policy as the basis in the IRI Foreign Ministry and said
every meeting or statement in the field of diplomacy should be measured
and timely.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that being familiar with the delicacies in art
of diplomacy and negotiations is essential for Iranian diplomats.
The Leader of Islamic Revolution continued that common diplomacy is one
of the inventions of the Islamic Republic of Iran and emphasized on
effective connections with Iranians outside the country.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said Saturday the Palestinians are
the most resilient people in history who will "definitely and undoubtedly"
see the freedom of their land.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei described the Palestinian resistance as
an amazing phenomenon, which is driving Israel toward "defeat and
annihilation." Resistance is what has untied different Palestinian
movements as well as having faith in God, he said. "And the supporters of
the Zionist regime (Israel) will find nothing but shame and historic
notoriety," the Leader said.
He expressed deep gratitude to the Palestinian nation and said,
"Bearing the atrocities and endless pressures in Gaza and throughout
Palestine is impossible without the guidance and assistance of God and the
Palestinian nation truly deserves to be named as the most resilient nation
in history."
Ayatollah Khamenei also touched upon the 22 day Gaza war and said the
Arab governments claim that "the Palestinian issue" is an Arab one but
when it comes to helping Palestinians, they left their Palestinian
brothers unassisted in front of the enemy and its supporters.
The Arab behavior, he said, will go down in history. Ayatollah Khamenei
said the US president's slogan of change was an attempt to repair the
damaged image of Washington and said, "such dishonest attempts bore no
fruit because the Americans blatantly lie in the issue of Palestine and
other issues."
"The Iranian nation has gotten used to these lies after 30 years," he
said. The Leader said the Palestinian issue was a serious challenge for
the Western civilization and advocates of liberal democracy, adding, "The
resistance of the Palestinian nation has questioned the West's
multi-centennial claims of freedom and human rights and has disgraced [the
West].
"'The Palestinian issue' has today become a criterion for determining
the real advocates of 'freedom and human rights' from its deceitful
claimants." Ayatollah Khamenei said the future America will have been
defeated by the Palestinian nation.
"Without a doubt, the actions of the United States over the past 60 to
70 years in support of the Zionists will be remembered as an instance of
this country's dishonor in history." The Leader of the Islamic Revolution
stressed the importance of forming a new and "Islamic Middle East" and
described defending the Palestinian nation as a humanitarian and Islamic
responsibility.
He noted that Islamic governments have a greater responsibility
regarding the issue of Palestine, since their nations have "awakened" and
now demand more support for Palestine. "Those who have overlooked the true
and original path to the freedom of Al-Quds and Palestine — in other words
resistance — have been forced to accept the conditions imposed by the
enemy."
"God willing, Al-Quds will return to the embrace of the Muslims and the
people of the world and the resilient Palestinian nation will witness this
great day," the Leader concluded.

Jamaran Destroyer, designed and built by the IRI Navy, officially
joined the Naval Fleet in Persian Gulf upon a command by the
Commander-in-Chief, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei Friday.
Islamic Republic of Iran is now among the few countries which are
capable of designing and building advanced battleships and destroyers.
In a multi-purpose mission, Jamaran could operate in aerial, surface
and subsurface battles.
Outfitted with over 1.4m pieces of parts or systems, the destroyer has
a helideck and can run HIFR operation. Part of the know-how was previously
in western monopoly.
Ayatollah Khamenei after the launching ceremony delivered a speech to a
group of Navy commanders and engineers of the Jamaran Destroyer in which
he appreciated the Navy's efforts and said that the key to progress and
sovereignty of the country is to commission the affairs to faithful youths.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the day was a blessed a nd promising day,
adding, "This significant achievement which is the result of trust in God
will make our young generation more determined than before and this is
more important than the construction of a destroyer itself."
Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that the basis of progress and
sovereignty is to recognize abilities and talents in the country, adding
initially some wishes seem ambitious but everything would be practical
under belief in God and reliance on self.
Ayatollah Khamenei hoped that the next Navy projects would be greater
and more invaluable.
The IR Leader lauded the Iranian nation for its resistance against
arrogance and said the failure of the world arrogant powers against the
Iranian nation had proved that no power could dominate a nation if it
relies on its own identity and sovereignty.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to the anger and
frustration of the enemies after the February 11 rally and said," In the
memora ble day, tens of million of faithful hearts chanted their hate
against the arrogance and underlined their beliefs and Islamic dignity."
"The fair reality disappointed the domineering powers including
America," Ayatollah Khamenei added.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the recent remarks of US President Barrack
Obama were prompted by his anger and disappointment at the Iranian nation.
"Old and meaningless remarks that Iran is building an atomic weapons show
that the enemies of nation have been unable even in propaganda."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution said, "We had said many times that
our religious beliefs consider the weapons as symbol of destruction and
deems them forbidden and prohibited. We have no belief in atomic bomb and
will never pursue it."
"In spite of the propaganda of the world arrogant powers, we seek to
revive the heroic soul and dignity of Islamic nations. So far too, the
Iranian nation and Islamic System's efforts has helped awaken t he nations
against the arrogance especially America," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
Ayatollah Khamenei rejected the US and some other western countries'
claims that Iran takes measures against its neighbors, saying, "Our
neighbors know that the claims are lies. America and the Zionist regime
try to divert the attention of the Islamic nations from their main enemies
which are America and Israel."
The IR Leader said the Islamic Republic of Iran, as a principle Persian
Gulf policy, considers the regional countries as its brothers. "We believe
that the Persian Gulf could be managed in the benefit of all regional
countries and nations through a collective wisdom," the IR Leader added.
Ayatollah Khamenei termed the foreigners as an obstacle for security in
the region, adding the fixed policy of foreigners is to create discord
between regional countries. "We hope they fail in their plots through
vigilance and awareness of all the countries," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
Meanwhile, in the beginning of the ceremony Ayatollah Khamenei
inspected a guard of honor and then paid tribute to Iranian martyrs.

Islamic Revolution Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei in a meeting
with commanders, officers, pilots and staff of the Air Force said divine
motivation, sincerity and faith in the Islamic Revolution are keys to
effectiveness and strength of the Islamic Revolution adding the Iranian
nation will stun the arrogance front in Bahman 22 rallies.
Concurrent with the anniversary of the 19th of Bahman, 1357 (February
8, 1979) in which Air Force personnel swore allegiance to Imam Khomeini,
the IR Leader described the move as a big political barrier-breaking move
and said the people were only motivated in their presence by sincerity and
divine purpose and the issue recorded the move in the history.
"The Islamic Revolution is a successful revolution for implementing
divine rules and establishing justice," Ayatollah Khamenei added.
The Islamic Revolution Leader underlined that the enemy, the arrogant
system and Zionists are not able to understand the reasons behind the
Islamic Revolution's spiritual strength, adding thousands of media and
intellectuals always make propaganda against the Islamic system but they
could not affect the system because it is based on a divine and faithful
foundation.
Ayatollah Khamenei said no system in the world could stand up like the
Islamic system in spite of all the existing false propaganda as well as
political and economic pressures and sanctions.
The Islamic Revolution Leader stressed that the Islamic system will
continue to resist all pressures, adding reliance on God and people's
faith are keys to stability of the Islamic Revolution.
"People due to their faith will come to streets without any call,
whenever they feel danger for the Revolution, like what happened in
rallies on December 30.
Pointing to the efforts made by ill-wishers of the Islamic Revolution
to make the presence of millions of people in December 30 to appear less
important, the Islamic Revolution Leader said the march was too great for
the enemy to cover it up.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the presence of people in time of threats was
inspired by faith and Divine will, adding that God holds the heart of
human in His Hand and since the Islamic System is a Divine move, God will
secure it.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the enemies have failed to grasp the true
nature of people's support of the government and insist on threats. He
continued that they think they can make use of issues of democracy and
human rights to allege that Iran has weak points while the world laughs at
such claims.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that those who trampled on the rights of
prisoners or even their citizens are now speaking of human rights and it
is shameful.
"These so called advocates of democracy make friends with the most
autocratic and totalitarian regimes in the Middle East and the rest of the
world and speak of democracy. The world witnesses such contradictory
behavior and doesn't believe their claims," Ayatollah Khamenei added.
Ayatollah Khamenei continued that the so-called advocates with such
records accuse the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has the power to bring
85 percent of the eligible to polls, of not having democracy.
Ayatollah Khamenei pointed out that the Islamic administration has
stood firm in the face of all threats in the last 30 years. He continued
that Iran has advanced in various technological and scientific fields.
The Leader of Islamic Revolution stated that the nations' unity is like
a thorn in the enemies' flesh.
Ayatollah Khamenei continued that causing discord in the society is
what the events after the June election was aimed for. He added that all
attempts proved futile and those who stood against the nation's will are
not of the people but against the revolution, either because of their
ignorance or stubbornness.
The Leader of Revolution asserted that masses are treading in the path
of Islam and the revolution so that Islamic laws are enforced in the
country through which they can achieve independence and glory.
Ayatollah Khamenei also added that some have been opposed to the
revolution from day first and wanted to restore the US dominance in the
country.
The Leader of revolution continued that monarchists and those who
supported the late regime of Iran have got a grudge against the revolution
for thirty years. He added that some are against the very core of the
government which is the sovereignty of Islam.
"All these people are a small group compared with the nation that
despite variety of political attitudes is united." Ayatollah Khamenei said.
Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the efforts of enemies in ruining the
unity of nation, adding that by God's assistance, the Iranian nation in
February 11 march will stun all the arrogant powers, including America,
Britain and Zionists through their united presence.
The IR Leader said the Islamic Republic of Iran will fir mly continue
to seek dignity under Islam, security under Islam, justice under Islam and
the Islamic-inspired democracy, adding that the present youths and the
next generations would conquer the peaks of progress by use of the ample

The Commander-in-Chief said a smart nation like the Iranian nation,

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, in a meeting
with Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement and his
accompanying delegation, said Palestine today has turned into an arena for
materialization of divine will and victory of the oppressed against the
arrogance.
The IR Leader compared the present conditions of Palestine and the
Zionist regime within the past 30 years and said, "Palestine today is the
symbol of faith, living, will, struggle and dignity.
The Palestinian nation has proved that it is very stronger spiritually
than the Zionist occupiers so that the Israeli army with military
superiority could not overcome the Palestinian nation's faith and will and
was defeated.
Ayatollah Khamenei termed the Zionist regime's inability to dominate
Gaza as something like a miracle adding that the regime, though enjoying
all material and political supports, could not break down the Palestinian
nation's resistance after nearly two years of siege.

Being hopeful to victory and resistance should be considered constantly

Appreciating the role of Islamic Jihad Movement in the scene of
Palestine's Jihad and politics, the IR Leader said, "I'm optimistic about
Palestine's future and believe that Israel is on the precipice of decline.
God willing, its disappearance will be certain."
Referri ng to the current process that force of truth is coming to
power and force of falsehood is weakening, Ayatollah Khamenei said, "There
is no doubt that the end of the route is the release of Palestine from the
claws of the Zionists and its return into the Palestinians."
Talking about the aid of some Arab governments to the Zionist enemy,
the IR Leader said, "Surely such efforts are fleeting and Muslim nations
will always give their support to the Palestinian cause."
"We defend Palestine based on our beliefs and stand by it," Ayatollah
Khamenei reaffirmed, adding, "we believe that the Almighty Allah will
defend those who are faithful."
Islamic Jihad Secretary-General Ramadan Abdullah Shallah, for his part,
congratulated the 31st anniversary of Islamic Revolution victory and said
the Islamic Revolution of Iran is a unique revolution which could not be
compared with any other one.
"Islamic resistance groups will continue their Jihadi and political
activities until the event ual victory is reached," he added
Leader Calls for Scientific
Leap
TEHRAN (FNA 2.2.2010)- Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah
Seyed Ali Khamenei on Tuesday underlined the necessity for stronger
efforts by Iranian elites and scholars to promote the country's scientific
level.
"The outstanding progresses made during the last three decades are not
satisfactory and we are standing in a far distance from the world's
scientific peaks," Ayatollah Khamenei said, addressing a large
congregation of university deans and authorities here in Tehran.
"Closing this gap requires doubled, continued and inexhaustible efforts
by the (Iranian) elites, scientists, intellectuals and university students,"
the Supreme Leader advised.
Reminding the significant and exemplary role of universities, specially
the Tehran University, in Iran's scientific progress, Ayatollah Khamenei
called for a "50-year envision plan to accelerate the country's progress",
and underlined that Iran can reach the world's highest scientific levels
through such planning.
The leader stressed that such a planning "can bring Iran out of
scientific captivity while deepening and expanding man's knowledge".
Last Thursday, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed the need for the application
of science and faith as key to success.
"The secret to success for this scientific institute is precise
identification of problems and using scientific knowledge and endeavor,
motivated by faith, to solve the problems," Ayatollah Khamenei said last
Thursday addressing a meeting with a group of researchers from Iran's
Royan Institute.
Royan Institute is a public non-governmental non-profitable
organization established in 1991 as an infertility clinic.
In 1998 the institute was approved by Iran's Ministry of Health as Stem
Cell based Research Center. The institute currently acts as leader of Stem
Cell research and is also one of the best clinics for infertility
treatment.
Scientists at the research center have so far succeeded in cloning
various farm animals, including a lamb named 'Royana', a goat named
'Hanna' and two calves called 'Bonyana' and 'Tamina'.
