Leader: America could not
stop Iranians from track of honor
29.10.2008
Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei urged a large
audience of school and university students to take their responsibility
regarding the future of the country, adding that America would fail to
stop the Iranian nation from the track of honor.
The meeting was staged to mark Aban 13 (Nov 3), the Persian calendar's
Day of Student which is also named National Day of Combat against
Arrogance after the 1979 capture by students of the then US Embassy in
Tehran which had otherwise turned into a den of espionage against the
Iranian nation's interests.
Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the young Iranian generation was more
responsible regarding the future of the country, adding that the victory
of the Islamic Revolution and the national accomplishments during the
eight-year Sacred Defense (1980-88) was tribute to the youths.
Ayatollah Khamenei viewed the 1979 capture as a responsible move by a
group of high-stand youths.
The IR Leader said that the country was still in need of responsible
youths. "The youths as the future authorities of the country must prepare
themselves by boosting their faith, insight and scientific ability."
Ayatollah Khamenei then enquired why the Islamic Republic of Iran and
the United States were in dispute with each other, adding that to find any
answer one was required to profoundly examine the issue taking into
account the fact that the the two's disagreement goes beyond a few
political issues.
"Once the Islamic Republic got triumphed in Iran, America lost its
primary base at the heart of the oil-rich Middle East. Iran afterwards
turned into the central base of combat against US arrogance," Ayatollah
Khamenei argued, adding that America lost its last stronghold inside Iran
after its embassy was captured.
"After the Americans were pushed from Iran, they followed their
arrogant policies and embarked on espionage against the Islamic system
through their embassy in Tehran. However they saw their project in tatters
after the students carried out their great move," the IR Leader continued.
Ayatollah Khamenei recommended the youths to study the collections of
documents seized from the former embassy to realize what a role it played
before and after the Islamic Revolution.
"The move of the students in capturing the embassy was great and 'a
revolution larger than the Islamic Revolution' as Imam Khomeini called it
because it helped shatter the superficially formidable image of America in
Iran and the rest of the world," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
"Americans seek to discourage the Iranian nation in their pursuit of
independence and dignity. They wish to see the nation a dependent one once
again, shying away from its Islamic Revolution and surrendering to the
country. Hence an assortment of US pressures against the nation,"
Ayatollah Khamenei said.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the Iranian nation felt deep hate towards
America for it hatching different plots against the nation over the past
fifty years. "Americans have yet to apologize. Still they look adamant on
their arrogance," the IR Leader added.
Ayatollah Khamenei cautioned the country that the Iranians while never
being men of aggression would cut off hand of any one who dares tread
their identity or independence.
Ayatollah Khamenei then enquired where the IRI-US confrontation would
lead, replying that the US arrogant regime would eventually face
cul-de-sac contrary to the western media's propaganda speculations of an
otherwise destiny.
"If America was ever to defeat the Iranian nation, it would have
fulfilled the job at time when the nation was much weaker in terms of
experiences, knowledge, military strength, and popularity among other
nations. It nevertheless failed to do the job and is certain to lose now
either with the Iranian nation standing mightier and more sovereign than
past," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
"The American government at present has lost its reputation even among
Western nations and its own nation. All its slogans about human rights and
democracy have proved disgraceful," the IR Leader said.
"The American human rights were displayed in Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo,
and other prisons as well as its massacres in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The American democracy has surfaced in its confrontation against the
popular Hamas government in Palestine, its pressures against the popular
Iraqi government to sign a security agreement as well as its bringing of
baseless allegations against the Islamic Republic of Iran whose
authorities are entirely chosen by public vote."
"Today, the image of the American government is so tarnished that
people march to call on its president to leave wherever he steps on a
visit," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the secret to the Iranian nation's
accomplishments lied in their perseverance, adding that the nation was on
the rocks everywhere the required perseverance had failed to be
accomplished.
Ayatollah Khamenei assured however that the Iranian nation would climb
over the difficult mountain passes and would conquer the peaks

Ayatollah Khamenei says the US-Iran dispute is deep-seated.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution says the US must apologize for its
wrongdoings to the Iranian nation if it seeks closer Tehran ties.
Tehran and Washington severed diplomatic ties in 1979.
"The dispute [with America] goes beyond differences of opinion on a few
political issues," said Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei Wednesday.
Speaking six days before the US presidential election, the Leader said
Iranian 'hatred' toward the White House is the result of US 'plots against
the Iranian people over the past 50 years'.
Iran holds the United States responsible for a CIA-launched coup in
1953 against the then democratically elected prime minister, Mohammad
Mosaddeq.
The coup marked the first successful CIA overthrow of a foreign
government in history, in which the US restated its close ally
Mohammad-Reza Pahlavi, the Shah, in Iran.
US Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama has pledged to directly
and diplomatically engage Iran should he take office; raising the prospect
of closer Tehran-Washington relations.
According to Senator Obama, the means of diplomacy will only be used in
talks over Iran's nuclear program.
In his Wednesday address before Iranian scholars and students,
Ayatollah Khamenei said it is disappointing that US politicians have never
expressed regret over their anti-Iran actions.
"Instead, they continue to adopt the same arrogant attitude toward
Iranians," the Leader added.
According to former US secretary of state Madeleine K. Albright, the US
declaration of war on democracy in Iran in 1953 has had a pivotal role in
the troubled relations of the two countries.
"It is easy to see now why many Iranians continue to resent this
intervention by America in their internal affairs," Albright said in a
March 2000 address.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the US has adopted a hostile approach toward
Iran since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in the hopes of isolating
the country and forcing it to crawl back to the US hemisphere of power.
The Leader, however, added that the same policy toward Iran would not
work at a time when the incumbent US president has driven his country into
a crisis.
Eight years of President George W. Bush in the White House has
drastically damaged US reputation in the international community.
Armed Forces, solid fence
of nation
19.10.2008
Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei described the
Armed Forces as solid fence for the country adding that the nation
considers them as an indispensable part of the national body.
Ayatollah Khamenei told a joint graduation ceremony Sunday that the
national fence would prove further powerful provided the Armed Forces are
equipped with the power of faith and spiritual strength.
"Today, the Islamic Iran has an exceptional historical grandeur in the
world having enjoyed valiant and faithful soldiers," the IR Leader
appreciated.
Ayatolah Khamenei noted that the IRI Armed Forces had also proved its
grandeur through faith and defense of pure monotheistic values besides
power of weaponary.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the superpowers at present abuse their armies
to quench their greed and vanity, whereas the the IRI's armed forces are
ready to put their lives in defense of Islamic values and solidification
of divine good deeds.
"They stand any fields and gain eventual victory," Ayatollah Khamenei
added.
The Commander in Chief of the IRI's Armed Forces then pointed to the
victory of Hezbollah's brave youths by power of faith against the Zionist
regime's armed to teeth soldiers which was even admitted by themselves.
"The Hezbollah's victory indicates the superiority of faith over
material powers. The dear youths in the armed forces should cherish the
unique advantage of faith and spirituality."
Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted the role of bravery, faith, sacrifice
and resistance of the Iranian nation against the enemy which forced them
out of the country.
"Those enemies who could not imagine the Iranian nation would resist
against them at the begining of the Islamic Revolution are now, after
thirty years, acknowledging that the Islamic Iran and its Armed Forces are
in the strongest position ever," Ayatollah Khamenei added.
Ayatollah Khamenei advised the armed forces to pursue great spiritual
virtues, science, full discipline and preparedness, and sincerity in
conduct
Supreme Leader: Campaign
for justice should turn into main motto
Tehran, Oct 14, IRNA
Iran-Supreme Leader-Justice
Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said
here Tuesday that campaign for justice should be turned into main motto in
efforts to solve global problems.
"To solve world problems, campaign for justice should serve as the main
motto. Today, such bitter global realities as war, hunger and violation of
human rights are rooted in factors including ambition and supremacy. So,
any endeavor and moves, aimed at solving global problems should consider
campaign for justice and against injustice as the main parameter," said
Ayatollah Khamenei in a meeting with several key international leaders.
The Supreme Leader said that dialogue and collaboration are necessary
and the most effective way to remove ambiguities and reach understanding.
"Dialogue and exchange of views are very good, important and necessary
practices. Continued exchange of visits and talks, and outlining facts
would definitely play a key role in building understanding among nations
and governments. Such acts, however, can by no means be enough and
effective to control and check unpleasant features of global hegemonic
powers, and end current intricacies of mankind; so, other factors should
be taken into consideration," added Ayatollah Khamenei.
The Ayatollah added that injustice and tyranny have been the main
causes of painful problems gripping the human community throughout history.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Supreme Leader referred to 'heinous
massacre' of Iraqis, Afghans and Palestinians, questioning, "Do such
painful catastrophes take place due to misunderstanding and lack of mutual
confidence or other factors such as ambition and injustice are involved?"
Ayatollah Khamenei said such historical factors as domination of the
West's brutal colonialism of different parts of the globe and humiliating
approaches towards Muslims and other nations have been among other factors
responsible for the ongoing problems.
The Ayatollah declared, "We do not blame present western generation for
yesterday generation's (wrong) conducts; however, current politicians in
powerful western states are, as in the past, after dominating the world
and violating the rights of nations." He advised the well-wishers and
personalities caring for settling the world problems to explicitly and
openly condemn injustice and tyranny in different parts of the world and
care seriously for the difficult job of distinguishing tyranny from
non-tyrant.
Also pointing to injustices and crimes committed against the
Palestinian people, Ayatollah Khamenei said, "Prayers and advice are good
for solving world problems; however, without justice and campaign against
injustice, no advice and action will be effective. So, elements having
influential role in different countries and in the international community
should fight brazen and blatant injustice in Palestine."
Citing that campaign against injustice is the soundest and the most
effective way of achieving just peace, Ayatollah Khamenei said, "Unjust
peace will not last long and it is necessary to, while supporting the
slogan for peace, seriously raise and follow up the mottos of justice and
campaign against injustice."
Iran's former president Hojatoleslam Mohammad Khatami, former Norwegian
prime minister and the head of the Oslo Center for Peace and Human Rights,
Kjell Magne Bondevik, former Sudanese prime minister Sadeq al-Mahdi,
former Portuguese president and the UN Chief's High Representative for
Alliance of Civilizations Jorge Sampiao, the President and Chief Executive
Officer of the US Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation Bishop John
Bryson Chane and former Italian prime minister Romano Prodi were present
in the meeting.
Prior to the Supreme Leader's speech, Hojatoleslam Khatami briefed the
audience on efforts and measures taken especially for defining the role
and impact of religion on settling problems.
Bondevik also said that his meeting with the Supreme Leader was a
source of honor for him.
He referred to growing tension between the West and the world of Islam
and said, "The West's humiliating approaches towards Muslims and
presenting a distorted image of Islam were influential in emergence of
problems gripping the world."
He said that dialogue is the best option for removing
misunderstandings.
Condemning US strike on Iraq, he said, "After the lapse of five years
it has become clear that there had been no weapons of mass destruction in
the country."
Also, Sudan's former prime minister Sadeq al-Mahdi underlined the need
for the West to revise its policies on global issues, especially those
pertaining to the world of Islam.
Al-Mahdi called for unity, saying it is the most effective means to
encounter and foil efforts to divide the Muslim world.
Yet, Sampiao said, "We believe Iran, a country with rich history,
values and importance, is capable playing a key role in nations and
governments' full understanding and building a better world." Condemning
the US' Iraq invasion, Sampiao said, "His Excellency's guidelines on
campaign against injustices were fully to-the-point and effective."
Meanwhile, the US' Bishop Bryson Chane, referring to his earlier visits
to Iran, said, "I love Iranian people very much and consider them a family
of my own. Jesus' religion and Islam are more powerful than current
problems and current global problems can be solved by relying on religion."
He noted, "The US and the world religious leaders have time and again
voiced opposition to attacking Iraq but the US and the UK occupied the
country in defiance of demands and wishes of nations and religious leaders."
Prodi was among other figures who lauded Iran's highly important role
in the region and the world of Islam and said, "The Islamic Republic of
Iran has the power to shape prospect of the region positively and
constructively."
Islamic Revolution Leader:
Dialog, insufficient to resolve global problems
14.10.2008
Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei received
several international political and religious personalities Tuesday in a
meeting where he told the personalities that dialog and interaction was
essential to achieve international understanding but not sufficient.
Ayatollah Khamenei told the personalities that the bitter realities of
the present world including war, starvation or violation of human rights
were all rooted in the devilish spirit of transgression and therefore any
effort to resolve the global problems must primarily seek to administer
justice and defang tyranny.
The personalities who were in the Islamic Republic as part of an
initiative to promote dialog among nations were reminded by the IR Leader
that while dialog could help promote understanding among nations and
governments, it nevertheless proves insufficient in harnessing the
unbecoming conduct of superpowers and putting an eventual end to human
sufferings.
Ayatollah Khamenei viewed injustice as the historical cause of the
painful sufferings of human community, calling into mind the bloody
situation in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine. "Do these painful tragedies
take place out of misunderstanding or rather they are rooted in such
issues as transgression and injustice," the IR Leader enquired.
Ayatollah Khamenei also attributed the existing global woes to such
historical issues as dominance of rigid western colonialism across the
world and its humiliating treatment of Muslims or other nations.
"We do not blame the present western generation for the conduct of its
past generation however the current western authorities are seeking
dominance over the world and violate the rights of nations as their
predecessors did," Ayatollah Khamenei deplored.
Ayatollah Khamenei recommended the well wishers of the human community
as well as those who are motivated to resolve the global problems to
condemn tyranny and injustice unreservedly anywhere they exists and pursue
to distinguish tyrants from innocents.
Touching on the tyranny which currently befalls the Palestinian nation,
Ayatollah khamenei argued that prayer and advice are good for resolving
the problems however in the absence of justice, no advice or other move
would prove effective.
Ayatollah khamenei urged any influential personality in the world to
rise to a blatant tyranny currently befalling Palestine and Iraq.
Ayatollah Khamenei noted the personalities that a peace which settles
through unfair tactics would not endure adding that any call to support
peace must accompany a call to justice as well.
At the beginning of the meeting, Hojjat-ol-Islam Sayyed Mohammad
Khatami, ex-Iranian president, laid out the efforts and measures currently
being adopted to specify the role of religion in resolving the global
problems.
Then former Norwegian premier Kjell Magne Bondevik spoke who said he
took honor in his meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei.
Bondevik then pointed to a current surge in tensions between the west
and the world of Islam, adding that the humiliating treatment of the
Muslims by the west and its efforts to mar the image of Islam had further
fanned the global problems, suggesting that dialog could reduce levels of
misunderstanding.
The former Norwegian official moreover condemned the US invasion of
Iraq, noting "now five years after the invasion it has been proved there
were no Mass Destruction Weapons in the country from the outset."
Sadiq al-Mahdi, former premier of Sudan for his part spoke of
imperativeness of a change in Western attitude towards the global issue
and Islamic world affairs, adding that the divisive efforts against the
world of Islam must be countered unanimously.
Ex-Portuguese president, George Sampaio who represents UN Secretary
General in the UN initiative of dialog among civilizations believed Iran
could play a key role in promoting understanding and building a better
world especially considering its history, values and significance.
Sampaio too condemned the US invasion of Iraq and voiced approval of
the suggestion of Ayatollah Khamenei on the necessity of combat against
tyranny.
John Bryson Chane, President of the US-based Protestant Episcopal
Cathedral Foundation was the next to speak, calling into mind his previous
visits to Iran. "I love the Iranian people and consider them as my next of
kin."
Bryson believed that Islam and Christianity are more powerful than the
existing problems, adding that the problems of the world could be resolved
through religious solutions.
The President noted the US religious leaders voiced their opposition to
invasion of Iraq on several occasions however US and Britain invaded Iraq
irrespective of the wishes of nations and their religious leaders.
Ex Italian premier Romano Prodi too pointed to the key role of Iran in
the region and the world, saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran is able
to help the region to evolve in a positive and constructive manner.
13.10.2008
Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said Monday
that the mystery to survival of the Iranian nation was its perseverance on
revolutionary principles and goals.
In a meeting with the country's Friday prayers leaders, Ayatollah
Khamenei said: "At time when the Marxism school has collapsed and the
cries of disintegration of the Western liberal democracy is being heard,
the Islamic movement is fourishing day by day. The Islamic Revolution as
the driving engine behind the great intellectual school should strengthen
the perserevrance."
Referring to the Iranian people's allegiance to Islam, the Revolution
and Imam Khomeini, the IR Leader said: "The Iranian people persevered on
its allegiance by soul and heart, helping realize the divine promise which
was the establishment of religious government in Iran."
Ayatollah Khamenei regarded Imam Khomeini's ten-year leadership and his
powerful faith as the main factors which encouraged people to persevere.
He regarded the victory of the Islamic Revolution from within a
situation run by the two great thoughts of Marxism and Liberal Democracy
as being beyond material analyses and calculations.
"The Islamic movement inspired by the Islamic Revolution grew more
powerful despite any conspiracies. It is assisted by divine sources. Now
there is no name of Marxism while the Liberal Democracy has run aground
even with all its political, economic and military strength.
"The Islamic Revolution had two big ideological rivals, Marxism and
Liberal Democracy. They had made plans for the world issues according to
their thoughts and ideas," said the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Referring to the failure and the ensuing disintegration of the Marxism
school, Ayatollah Khamenei added: "This school had its own claims and
mottos that faded gradually and the remaining form and appearance of
Marxism collapsed and disappeared in a short period of time like a
spider's web."
"After the collapse of Marxism, the West's school of Liberal Democracy
was tempted by the idea of unilateral dominance on the world. It thought
the whole world was its own," he added.
"The school's political claims and false mottos of human rights and
democracy were uncovered in Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, Iraq invasion,
Afghanistan invasion and the bombardment of different areas. Today the
false bubble of dominance of money has broken in the Western world and
their cries have risen to the sky," Ayatollah Khamenei said of the Western
Democracy.
Ayatollah Khamenei regarded the current problems of the Western world
as an indicator of the economic claims of the West's Liberal Democracy.
He referred to the Western analysts' confession to inefficiency of
Liberal Democracy's economic methods, saying: "They themselves say that
the era of America's absolute dominance has come to an end."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution regarded these issues as great and
deserving contemplation.
"In this situation, the main factors behind the Islamic Revolution ,
including divine faith, hope, and spirit of work should be strengthened
more than before."
The Islamic Revolution Leader then touched on the popular root of the
religious service of Friday prayers and the role it plays in building and
promoting Islamic culture, adding that the Friday prayers leaders must
promote people's hope in future, especially in the youth.
Ayatollah Khamenei warned that some individuals were trying to make
people frustrated and divert their mind form the path. "The Islamic
Revolution is mightily going ahead. Though there are some problems in the
path, some individuals claim the train has got off the track or moves
backward against all realities," the IR Leader said.
Ayatollah Khamenei urged the Friday prayers leaders to promote Islamic
morality in society and expand amicable ties with people, especially with
the underprivileged and the families of war veterans.
The IR Leader also urged the ulema to enhance their bond with other
alims and also oversight the conduct their next of kin

Iran-Supreme Leader-West
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on
Monday that the rule of money in the western world has come to an end and
their outcries are heard.
Highlighting the current status of liberal democracy in the West, the
Supreme Leader said as the school of Marxism has collapsed, sounds of the
decline of the West's liberal democracy are now heard.
The Islamic movement is spreading day by day and the Islamic Revolution
as the driving force of such a great ideological movement should
strengthen the factors behind its progress, the Supreme Leader said in a
meeting with Friday prayer leaders from throughout the country.
The secret of the Islamic Revolutions lies in its spirit of resistance,
underlined Ayatollah Khamenei.
The Iranian nation has renewed its allegiance to Islam, the Islamic
Revolution and late Imam Khomeini, said the Supreme Leader, adding that
the Iranian people have kept their promises to this effect resulting in
the supremacy of religious power in Iran.
The Islamic Revolution became victorious at a time when the world was
dominated by two schools of thought namely Marxism and Liberalism, said
Ayatollah Khamenei.
"Iran strongly stood up to the plots masterminded by global arrogance
and by relying on the Almighty God overcame all
difficulties. Now there is no sign of Marxism in the world and even
Liberalism is on the decline," pointed out the Supreme Leader.
Referring to scandalous collapse of Marxism, the Supreme Leader said
they lost their strongholds one by one and finally turned into a spider
web and were wiped up completely.
After fall of Marxism, liberalism was tempted to promote the idea of
unipolar world, assuming that the whole world was under its influence it
had no rival, pointed out Ayatollah Khamenei.
Highlighting the current status of liberalism in the western democracy,
the Supreme Leader said that "Political claims and fabricated mottos of
this school about human rights and democracy were revealed in Guantanamo,
Abu Ghraib prison, invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, and bombardment of
various parts of the world. And today, the rule of money in the West has
been broken and their outcries are heard."
The current problems facing the West show to what extent the economic
claims of Liberal Democracy was false, said the Supreme Leader, adding
that the western analysts have now confessed to inefficiency of their
economic theories.
They themselves claim that the era of America's absolute domination of
the world is now over, underlined the Supreme Leader.
Ayatollah Khamenei said that some people try to resort to any means to
disappoint the Iranian people and deviate them from their right path.
The Islamic Revolution will continue treading its path vigorously
despite some minor shortcomings, the Supreme Leader made it clear.
Supreme Leader's Remarks on
the Collapse of Liberal Democracy
Written by Esmaeil
Monday, 13 October 2008
Sample ImageSupreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed
Ali Khamenei, today emphasized the Iranian people's adherence to the
principles of Islam and the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, as outlined
by the Founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini (may his soul rest
in peace). He said in his address to a nationwide gathering of Friday
Prayer Leaders, that the secret behind the strength and durability of the
Islamic Revolution in Iran is perseverance of the spirit of resistance.
Ayatollah Khamenei noted that with the collapse of Marxism, and the
failure of liberal democracy to live up to its political slogans of
defending human rights, Islamic movements have come to the fore, inspired
by the Islamic Revolution (in Iran), which acts as the propelling engine.
He recalled that the resounding triumph of the Islamic Revolution in
Iran, which occurred when Marxism and Liberal Democracy dominated the
world, was a phenomenon beyond the analysis and equations of the material
schools of thought, their leaders and their advocates.
The Supreme Leader said thanks to the auspicious victory of the Islamic
Revolution by the help of the God Almighty, the Islamic movement was born
on the basis of the principle of resistance in the face of intricate plots,
and today there is no name of Marxism, while liberal democracy has fallen
on its knees despite its political, economic, and military power.
Following the collapse of Marxism, he said, Western liberal democracy
tried in vain to impose unipolar dominance on world nations, on the
misconstrued belief that the whole world was under its control.
Today, pointed out Ayatollah Khamenei, the economic downslide of the
West is proof of the impracticality of the policies of Liberal Democracy,
whose real face could be seen in the US torture centres of Guantanamo in
Cuba, and Abu Ghraib in Iraq, following the illegal (US) invasion and
occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan.
He reiterated that the era of the absolute domination by the US has
come to its end, as admitted by the Westerners themselves.

Iran-Fitr Prayers-Supreme Leader
Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei here
on Wednesday called for unity in the world of Islam, saying it is the only
way to confront enemies' all-out offensives.
"Unity in the world of Islam is the only way to counter enemies'
all-out offensives. Since they feel helpless in the face of huge movement
of Islamic awakening, enemies resort to discord through lies and deception,"
said Ayatollah Khamenei in his `Eid-ul-Fitr' (Feast of Fast Breaking)
sermons at Tehran's Musalla (Grand Prayers Ground) on Wednesday.
Congratulating Iranian and other Muslims worldwide on the auspicious
occasion of `Eid-ul-Fitr,' the Supreme Leader thanked the audience and
Muslims at large for massive turnout in the International Quds Day rallies
on the last Friday (September 26) of the fasting month of Ramadhan.
Calling International Quds Day "the manifestation of true unity in the
world of Islam", Ayatollah Khamenei said, "This year, from East to the
West, in the world of Islam and even in Europe, which is dominated by
governments' prejudice, (and) anywhere Muslims seized the chance voiced
their support for the oppressed Palestinian nation." The Supreme Leader
said this year's International Quds Day showed failure of the 60-year
efforts of Palestine's usurpers and their supporters in removing name and
memory of Palestine.
"Thanks to Islamic awakening, the world of Islam has today become more
sensitive towards and more anxious over the Palestine issue...
Had such a vigilance existed upon Palestine occupation, it would never
have been occupied by the Zionists," declared Ayatollah Khamenei.
IRANIAN NATION WILL NEVER LEAVE PALESTINIANS ALONE
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei praised braveries and
resistance of the Palestinian nation and said Palestinians' resistance and
campaign are the main reason for other Muslim nations' support for the
issue of Quds.
Addressing Palestinian nation, the legal Palestinian government and
Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, Ayatollah Khamenei said, "Iranian
nation has not left you alone and will not do so in the future either."
Referring to certain Zionist figures' acknowledgement to growing defeat
of the Zionist Regime, Ayatollah Khamenei said Zionists' failure and
defeat is absolute.
The Ayatollah hoped that God willing, the present Palestinian
generation will witness such a "big day."
Ayatollah Khamenei said nations, especially the elite, intellectuals,
Ulima and distinguished political figures in the world of Islam, shoulder
a heavy duty.
"Having found themselves helpless in the face of huge Islamic awakening
movement, enemies have launched diversified psychological warfare and
resorted to various political and propaganda ploys, using such labels as
Arab and Ajam (non-Arab) and Shiite or Sunni, to divide people through
lies and deception and to make Muslim states terrified of the Islamic
Republic of Iran. However, the Islamic system and Iranian nation -- as
they have repeatedly announced -- consider all their achievements and
progress belonging to whole Muslim Ummah and vigilantly stress unity in
the world of Islam," reiterated the Paramount Leader.
Ayatollah Khamenei, highlighting extreme significance of internal unity,
called on all inside the country to give preference to national rather
than factional interests.
Supreme Leader Leads Eid
al-Fitr Prayers
Written by Esmaeil (IRIB)
Wednesday, 01 October 2008
Sample ImageThe Supreme Leader of the Islamic revolution, Ayatollah
Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has congratulated the Iranian nation, Muslims
throughout the world, and the Islamic Ummah on the auspicious occasion of
Eid al-Fitr, inviting all Muslims to worship and piety. Addressing the
massive crowd of worshippers and the faithful on the occasion of Eid
al-Fitr prayers in Tehran on Wednesday, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei,
paid homage and tribute to the founder of the Islamic republic of Iran,
Imam Khomeini (may his souls rest in peace), saying the World Quds day
showcases the unity and solidarity of all Muslims everywhere, adding that
this year, from the farthest east to the western edges of the Islamic
world, as well as throughout Europe, and wherever in the world Muslims
gathered, they showed their support for the oppressed Palestinian people,
and the Palestinian cause.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Supreme Leader said the World Quds day
symbolizes the failure, for the past 60 years, of all those who usurped
the land of Palestine, and their backers, to eradicate the name and memory
of Palestine. He added: "Thanks to the vigilance and awareness of Muslims,
the Islamic world is highly sensitive and highly motivated in relation to
the Palestinian issue today. Indeed, the Zionists could never have
occupied and taken over Palestine, if such vigilance and awareness existed
among Muslims 60 years ago".
In further remarks, The Supreme Leader referred to admission by a
number of Zionists that the Israeli regime is getting weaker day-by-day,
saying there is no doubt that Zionist regime will fall apart, in
not-too-distant a future. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei pointedly added: "Hopefully
the current generation of Palestinians will witness this great event".
The Supreme Leader went on to stress that the only way to withstand the
(military and cultural) assault of the enemies of Islam is for Muslims to
remain united. He referred to the 'heavy responsibility' shouldered by
Islamic countries, particularly the religious and political leadership of
Islamic nations, as well as intellectuals and academics, saying the
enemies of Islam want to create rifts and divisions among Muslims, using
lies and deceit, and using terms such as Sunnis and Shias, or Arabs and
Non-Arabs.
The Supreme Leader emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the
Iranian nation considers all of its achievements and progress to belong to
the entire Islamic ummah, and calls for unity among Muslims in all
circumstances.
Supreme Leader: Muslims'
Future Horizon Brighter than Ever
Written by Esmaeil (IRIB)

Sample ImageThe Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed
Ali Khamenei has said that in the light of Islamic Ummah's awareness and
