Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah
Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has said the great Iranian nation strongly condemns
the shameful and disgraceful silence of those who claim to be champions of
freedom and human rights, in relation to Zionist crimes and atrocities
against innocent Palestinians; adding that Iran supports the Palestinian
nation. In a Wednesday address to people from all walks of life, as well
as government officials and ambassadors of Islamic countries in Tehran,
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei compared and contrasted the US president's
support for Zionist murderers and terrorists, with his often-proclaimed
championing of freedom and democracy, saying the contradictions and
inconsistencies are all too evident and shameful. The Supreme Leader
emphasized that the Iranian nation is vigilant and aware and understands
these realities.
In further remarks the Supreme Leader reminded the audience of the
coercive and bullying tactics of the hegemonic powers, and their excessive
demands. He cautioned that taking a step backwards would only encourage
the hegemonic powers to take a step forward, adding that retreating from
the right path would not change the policies and stances of the colonial
powers.
Turning to the deadly nuclear arsenals of United States and the Zionist
regime, the Supreme Leader emphasized that those who possess and build
atomic bombs and threaten global security are aware of Iran's intentions
in pursuing peaceful civilian nuclear technology solely for electricity
generation.
In further comments The Supreme Leader said: "They know that the
Iranian nation is seeking nuclear technology to generate electricity;
however, they do not want to allow it as this know-how would empower
Iran".
Elsewhere in his remarks Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said: "With
thirty years of experience in resistance, the Iranian nation will continue
on its [nuclear] path without taking notice of their [the West's] language
of threat".
Supreme Leader Urged
Muslims to Spread the Message of Mab'ath
30/07/2008
Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution met
with government officials, people from various social backgrounds, and the
envoys of Islamic countries. He described resistance in all conditions as
the great lesson of mab'ath (the day the Holy Prophet (s.w.a.) was
appointed to be a prophet), further reiterating: "Relying on this great
historic lesson and being present in all arenas - be it confrontation,
interaction, or dialogue - the Iranian nation will continue on its path."
His Eminence expressed his congratulations on this great Eid to the
Iranian nation, the great Islamic Ummah, and all those who seek freedom
and their rights. He referred to mab'ath as the glorious, historical
memory of the history of mankind and said that it is necessary to learn
from it. He added: "In the fanatic atmosphere of the Era of Ignorance, the
Holy Prophet (s.w.a.) of Islam transformed a society that was devoid of
knowledge, morality, and justice into an exemplary society and government
that was based upon monotheism, knowledge, justice, wisdom, and morality."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the Holy Prophet's (s.w.a.) resistance,
steadfastness, deep understanding, and adherence to Islamic path and
aspirations were the most important factor that contributed to this
astonishing, historic change. He said: "Displaying resistance, audacity,
and lack of greed for and dependence on the privileges offered by the
enemy, the Holy Prophet (s.w.a.) helped strengthen the roots of resistance,
peace, and confidence in the hearts of the early Muslims who were few in
number. Those few Muslims tolerated the most difficult conditions -
especially the extreme hardships after the enemies imposed an economic
blockade on them - and managed to overcome the enemies and form an
exemplary community."
The Supreme Leader also described the adoption of a righteous stance as
a necessary but insufficient condition for progress, and added: "According
to divine laws of nature, righteousness will achieve victory only when its
followers remain steadfast in all conditions."
Elsewhere in his speech, Ayatollah Khamenei said that the Holy Prophet
(s.w.a.) was the embodiment of valor on battlefields and was completely
steadfast when talking to the enemies.
His Eminence strongly advised the general public, especially the youth,
to carefully reflect upon the lifestyle of the Holy Prophet (s.w.a.),
which he described as instructive. He also added: "Benefiting form this
bountiful stream and following the faith and steadfastness of the Holy
Prophet (s.w.a.), Imam Khomeini (r.a.) started the Islamic Revolution. His
steadfastness caused the Iranian nation to step in and raise the flag of
Islamic Awakening in the Middle East, a strategic area, by toppling one of
the most dependant governments in the world. Relying on its steadfastness,
the Iranian nation helped spread the waves of Islamic Awakening among all
nations."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to the numerous
but unsuccessful efforts on the part of the arrogant powers in order to
undermine the resistance of the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic
and added: "Against the will of all the bullying powers of the world, the
Iranian nation still supports the oppressed Palestinian nation. The
Iranian nation strongly condemns the disgraceful silence of those who
claim to support freedom and human rights in the face of the daily
oppression and crimes of the Zionists." He added that US president's
support for the criminal and terrorist Zionists and his alleged support
for freedom as a disgraceful contradiction. He said: "The Iranian nation
is vigilance and is fully aware of these facts."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to the bullying
and greedy nature of the arrogant powers and reiterated: "If we retreat
one single step, the arrogant powers will take a step forward. It is wrong
to assume that if we back down and withdraw our truthful remarks, the
arrogant powers will change their policies. Such an assumption is totally
baseless."
His eminence described as ignorant those who build atomic bombs and
threaten the peace and security of man. He continued: "They know that the
Iranian nation seeks nuclear energy in order to produce electricity, but
they try to stop us since they know that it will give us more power. Of
course, relying on the useful experience that it has gained during the
last 30 years, the Iranian nation will not pay any attention to their
remarks and will continue on its path."
Ayatollah Khamenei said that the present capabilities of the Iranian
nation and its influence and power in the region are not comparable with
the past, adding: "There are bright prospects for Iran. We know what we
are doing and where we will end up. We believe that we will reach our
destination through moving towards our goals and being steadfast, not
through stagnation or retrogression."
At the end of his speech, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution
stressed: "It is time now for the Muslim Ummah to revive mab'ath. All
Muslims must increase their solidarity, knowledge, and capabilities
through insight and prudent moves. They must make more efforts in order to
spread of the message of mab'ath."
Supreme Leader Emphasizes
on Suppression of Invaders
Written by ebrahimi
Wednesday, 23 July 2008
The Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed
Ali Khamenei has warned the Zionist regime and the US not to resort to
absurd and stupid measures against Iran, noting that otherwise the hands
of those who violate the Islamic Republic of Iran's territory will be cut
short. Addressing a large gathering of people on Wednesday, marking the
auspicious birth anniversary of the First Infallible Imam of the Prophet
of Islam Mohammad (Peace Be upon Him and His Progeny) Household, Imam Ali
(AS), the Supreme Leader delivered an important speech on Iran's peaceful
nuclear activities case and the future negotiations between Iran and
Europe.
The Supreme Leader's warning about a possible incursion against Iran's
territory came following the threats leveled by the US and the Zionist
regime in the recent weeks in regard to a possible attack on Iran's
nuclear centers.
The US and the usurper Zionist regime, following the Israeli military
maneuver over the Mediterranean Sea and throughout Greece's territory,
once again raised the subject of a possible attack against Iran's nuclear
sites, which was reflected in international media. The World Arrogance
intends to scare the Iranian nation and Islamic Republic of Iran's
officials by escalation of a psychological warfare, with the intention of
halting Iran's peaceful nuclear activities. But the Supreme Leader
emphasized during his remarks on Wednesday that the red line drawn by the
Iranian nation and the Islamic system in regard to Iran's peaceful nuclear
activities case is completely clear for all and no power in the world can
deny the Iranian nation of its legal and main right of usage of nuclear
energy for peaceful purposes. Meanwhile, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme
National Security Council puts emphasis on this legitimate right of Iran
and will take part in talks with European Union Foreign Policy Chief
Javier Solana next Saturday. As the Supreme Leader underlined the Iranian
nation puts a difference between the US that opposes Iran's access to
peaceful nuclear technology due to its lingering animosity against the
Islamic Revolution, and countries that have called for negotiations in
regard to Iran's nuclear case to comply by Iran's red line. The secretary
of Iran's Supreme National Security Council and the European Union
representative will start their negotiations on Iran's nuclear case under
these circumstances. Obviously talks will not bear fruit amid threats.
Hence, if Europe seeks progress in nuclear negotiations it should not
challenge Iranian nation's legal and legitimate right to access peaceful
nuclear technology. It has been proved to the Iranian nation and Islamic
Republic of Iran's officials that the main reason behind the opposition of
US and a number of its allies with Iran's peaceful nuclear activities is
not their concern about the nature of Iran's nuclear activities. US has
neglected the reports released by the International Atomic Energy Agency
(IAEA), which have emphasized on the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear
activities, as a pretext for continuing its animosity against Islamic Iran
and to sabotage the Iranian nation's uncompromising spirit of resistance.
But as the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution emphasized no power in the
world can make the Iranian nation and officials relinquish Islamic
Revolution's goals and ideals.
Supreme Leader: Justice
should be given priority in all affairs
Tehran, July 16, IRNA
Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said
here Wednesday that justice should be given top priority in all affairs in
the Islamic system.
"The most distinguished motto of Hazrat Ali (AS) (The first Imam of
Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) infallible household) was justice.
So as followers of the Imam, we should give the priority to
administration of justice in the Islamic system," said Ayatollah Khamenei
in an address to large groups of people on Wednesday, marking the birthday
anniversary of Hazrat Ali (AS).
The Supreme Leader called on the audience to set Hazrat Ali as model
and follow his orders and guidelines to observe unity.
"Under conditions when division of Muslims is on agenda of enemies,
Hazrat Ali (AS) ... can be symbol of unity and cohesion among Muslims."
The Ayatollah said trust in God is the requisite for
administration of justice.
Elsewhere in his address, the Supreme Leader said Iranian nation's
resistance in the path of Islam and their emphasis on independence are the
reasons for pressures and challenges it faces.
"To safeguard its dignity and independence, Iranian nation hould
further strengthen its iron will as it has strongly resisted ambitions and
bullyings over the past 30 years," the paramount leader announced.
The Ayatollah said threats and intimidation have been usual habits of
super powers towards other nations to push them out of the scene.
"By threat and intimidation one can not remove a system and government,
that is based on public votes, sentiments and faith, from the scene. Since
beginning of the Islamic Revolution, the US has repeatedly used threats
and intimidation to push the Islamic Republic system and its officials out
of the scene but to no avail. It will not succeed from now on too,"
announced the Supreme Leader.
Switching to the nuclear issue, Ayatollah Khamenei said Iranian nation
does not owe its extensive and historic nuclear achievements to anybody
because the technology is indiginized and obtained through endeavor and
enthusiasm of the country's youth and prudence of the officials.
"The achievement belongs to whole the nation and no power will be able
to deprive it from the big right and technology. Iranian nation makes
distinction between those, like the US, that are out of hostility against
people's right of acquiring nuclear technology and oppose the big
advantage, and those who respect Iranian nation and their right, observe
the red lines and favor talks on different issues, including the nuclear
case."
As for Tehran's agreement for talks with Europe over the nuclear
problem, Ayatollah Khamenei said, "Negotiations will be successful if are
not governed by atmosphere of threat. Europeans should bear in mind that
their partner in the talks is the Iranian nation that is a brave nation
and does not favor threats and will not succumb to any threat also."
The Supreme Leader said Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), led
by the president, is in charge of the nuclear issue and whatever the
president and officials express on the issue is consented by whole
officials of the country.
He added that heads of the three branches of government and leadership
representatives at the SNSC too follow up the issue with prudence,
commitment and responsibility.
The Ayatollah then said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran's stances and
red lines of the Iranian nation are fully clear and transparent and if the
negotiating parties hold talks on the same basis, the officials of the
country will continue talks with them. The condition however is that
nobody threatens the Iranian nation."
Iran's Supreme Leader warned that any foolish act against the Islamic
Republic of Iran will receive a crushing response on the country's part.
"The Islamic Republic's concrete response to anybody's stupid action
will be crushing. If the US government and Zionist Regime make any claim
to cover up their abundant domestic problems, that's up to them themselves
but if they take any foolish action in practice, they should know that
Iranian nation will cut off the hand which aims to invade dear Islamic
Republic. For Iranian nation it makes no difference the criminal hand is
in state responsibility or not," Ayatollah Khamenei warned.
Ayatollah Khamenei added, "Certain people claim the US president might
in final months of his tenure take an action and leave the trouble for
incoming government; that's wrong, because any body taking an action will
be prosecuted and punished by Iranian nation even if is not in the post."
Concluding his address, Ayatollah Khamenei said Iranian nation will not
lose hope on God even for a single moment.
"Iranian nation is an enthusiastic and hopeful nation and a bright and
brilliant prospect is ahead of the Islamic Republic," said the Supreme
Leader.
