Sample ImageSupreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed
Ali Khamenei, has stressed that the Islamic Revolution was not simply an
event in Iranian history, rather it was a distinguished and outstanding
event in the history of the world and mankind, whose dimensions and
effects will become increasingly clear with the passage of time. In his
address to a gathering in Tehran on Tuesday on the auspicious occasion of
the birthday anniversary of Hazrat Fatemah Zahra (peace upon her), the
daughter of Prophet Mohammad (blessings of God upon him and his progeny),
he expounded the political consequences and effects of the Islamic
revolution upon the global community.
Ayatollah Khamenei said after 200 years of tyranny, colonialism and
imperialism, the Islamic Revolution stood firmly against global
imperialism and hegemony, with the Iranian nation's vociferous cries of
'Down with the US' and 'Death to America' resonating in many other parts
of the world.
He said the ringleaders of Global Arrogance, especially those in the
White House, were transformed into the most despised and hated politicians
in today's world.
Elsewhere in his remarks on the auspicious occasion that also coincided
with birthday of the Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (may
his soul rest in peace), the Supreme Leader referred to the spiritual and
intellectual dimensions and effects of the Islamic Revolution, saying for
centuries the world as a whole had moved towards a materialistic approach
to life; But he said, the Islamic Revolution changed all that, by turning
back the huge wave of materialism and once again reviving spirituality,
even among the younger generation in Western countries.
He drew the attention of the audience to the hostility of the
domineering powers towards the Islamic system of government in Iran, and
praising the dynamic leadership of Imam Khomeini under the most difficult
of circumstances, he said all efforts of the enemies to undermine the
Islamic Revolution in Iran have failed, and with God's grace, these plots
will continue to be defeated in the future as well.

Officials of Judiciary Branch

Ayatollah Khamenei the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution met
with the officials and judges of the judiciary branch as well as with the
families of Tir 7 (June 28) martyrs. Speaking at the meeting, His Eminence
said that there is a general assumption that the judiciary branch is a
sanctuary for the oppressed and described it as a positive point and as
the ultimate goal. He referred to the important role of the judiciary
branch and its heavy responsibilities and stressed: "The demand that was
made seven years ago urging the heads of the three movement branches to
seriously and decisively fight economic corruption is still important."
In this meeting - which was held on the occasion of the martyrdom of
Shahid Beheshti and 72 of his companions on June 28, 1981 (Tir 7) - the
Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution paid tribute to the memory of
these martyrs. Referring to the immense and essential services and deeds
done in the judiciary branch, he added: "These valuable measures which
were taken within the framework of the general policies and the second
development plan of the judiciary branch must be pursued fully and
seriously."
Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the implementation of these policies as
the means to help the judiciary branch achieve its proper position in
society and added: "This proper position is equivalent to generating the
general feeling that the judiciary branch is faithful and fair in
administering justice." Stressing the need for making use of faithful,
efficient, and knowledgeable individuals within the judiciary branch in
order to reach a high position, His Eminence said: "The leadership of
Ayatollah Shahrudi who is a knowledgeable, scholarly person and the
presence of prominent personalities in the judiciary branch provide good
opportunities in order to improve this branch of the government and help
it achieve the position it deserves."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution described constant
evaluation of the progress towards the desired position as an important
priority. Ayatollah Khamenei also said that all legal cases must be
considered quickly and carefully.
His Eminence also stressed that implementing laws and minimum violation
of them is another priority. He referred to the issue of prisons and said:
"Pursuing the policy of reducing the amount of imprisonment is a positive
measure, but the existence of prisons is a reality. And we must try to
turn prisons into institutes for promoting good deeds."
Ayatollah Khamenei described the judiciary branch as logical, advanced,
and strong, further adding: "Using all the legal potentialities of this
branch, especially the Ministry of Justice, is one of the priorities."
Elsewhere in his speech, Ayatollah Khamenei touched upon the importance
of dealing with and uprooting economic corruption. "In addition to the
fact that economic corruption creates an obstacle to sound investment in
society, it prepares the ground for the spread of cultural and moral
decadence."
His Eminence also stressed: "Although the letter that demanded the
heads of the three government branches to deal with economic corruption
dates back to 7 years ago, this issue is a current demand, and the
officials of the three government branches must treat it seriously."
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution described the coincidence of
Judiciary Week and the martyrdom of Shahid Beheshti and 72 of his
companions as worthy of reflection and added: "This coincidence means that
government officials must always remember the valor and sacrifices of the
martyrs and appreciate the opportunity to serve the public which is a
blessing resulting from this martyrdom."

Key to Success
Written by ebrahimi
Thursday, 12 June 2008
Sample ImageSupreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized today
that self-reform and self-building is the basis of all successes in the
real sense of the term. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in his audience to
representatives of the people to the 8th Majlis on Tuesday emphasized that
the two main duties of the parliament is legislation and supervision of
the laws.
He called for maintaining and boosting of convergence and cooperation
between the three branches of government, while reiterating that the
representatives should properly interact with the public - that voted them
to the parliament.
Ayatollah Khamenei said commitment to responsibilities with full
consciousness of God the Omnipresent, was among the most important factors
of popular religious rule that is based on heavenly-revealed guidelines
and commandments.
He noted that the Islamic Republic's ideal is spiritual improvement,
saying the formation of an Islamic society on the foundation of justice is
the vital link that paves the way towards implementation of what the
Messengers of God have emphasized, i.e. the spiritual ascension and
improvement.
He described Islamic Iran as the voice of warning for the domineering
system that only attempts to dehumanize people and trample justice.
The leader indicated that the only acceptable recourse to spread the
life-giving message of the Islamic system is through proper propagation,
which in fact, is moulding of the system on the basis of Islamic thoughts
and justice, so as to serve as example for others.
He elaborated on differences between certain ruling systems and the
so-called democracies, in contrast to Islamic-oriented administrations,
saying: from the Islamic standpoint, leadership only belongs to God, and
only that ruling system is acceptable which is set up in accordance with
divinely-decreed rules.
The legitimate Islamic system, Ayatollah Khamenei made it clear, is the
one based on the holy book and the instructions and guidelines of Prophet
Mohammad (blessings of God upon him and his progeny).
Form this point of view, he added, the people's representatives in the
Majlis are obliged and duty-bound in the presence of God the Omnipresent,
to pass laws that are mandatory and binding.
Prior to the Supreme Leader's remarks, new Majlis Speaker, Dr. Ali
Larijani, briefed the Leader on the capabilities of the new Majlis in
handling the country's affairs.
Elected lawmakers of the
eighth Iranian parliament
10.6.2008
slamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khmenei in a speech
Tuesday to the newly-elected lawmakers of the eighth Iranian parliament
considered the phenomenon of religious democracy as being protected by
some Divine custodianship.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the fundamental task of lawmakers shall be to
feel responsibile towards God, adding that provided the directors of the
System undertake the assignment, different minds and tastes would converge
and rational intentions would get united in resolving the existing
challenges in a composed atmosphere.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the ultimate goal of the Islamic Republic of
Iran was to help human being to gain perfect spirituality, adding that the
establishment of Islamic Community which is run by a fair system is just a
vehicle to materialize the ultimate goals of the Divine Messengers, the
mankind's spiritual perfection.
The Islamic Revolution Leader said God would protect the lawmakers if
they undertake their God-assigned duties firmly and bravely, adding that
such duties would be of higher importance once an individual sits the
sensitive lawmaking position.
Ayatollah Khamenei said laws and regulations would act as software for
any national movement and the significance would double if one considered
the situation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian nation which
had opened a new track before the humanity.
Ayatollah Khamenei called the Islamic Republic an outcry in the face of
blind move of hegemonic systems in trampling on humanity and justice,
adding that the savior call would gain ground only through precise
propagation that is the establishment of a just system based on Islamic
thoughts especially in light of the fact that the revolutionary words of
Imam Khomeini are genuinely attractive.
Ayatollah Khamenei said religious democracy and its representations
including the lawmaking job are deeply rooted in the Islamic Republic. He
elaborated the Islamic platform sits on the view that any custodianship
over human being was a monopoly of God while God has allowed human being
to trust the custodianship to some individuals through some conduit which
has been enshrined in the IRI Constitution as elections.
"This (election) is the authentic, profound and trusted basis of
religious democracy," the IR Leader added.
Ayatollah Khamenei then said that the Islamic views differ from the
current political systems in the world in that it considers the
custodianship over people as monopoly of God and that people's rule over
other people was only acceptable if it followed certain procedures
stipulated in Koran and the conduct of the Allah's Messenger Hazrat
Muhammad and his true successors.
"By this viewpoint, public delegation would turn into a Divine-rooted
custodianship and the same process would make the parliamentary
ratifications religiously compulsory," Ayatollah Khamenei added.
Pointing to his statement on the occasion of inauguration of the 8th
Majlis, Ayatollah Khamenei said, "The parliament's ratifications should be
comprehensive, durable, clear, expertly and focused on people's problems.
They should be affordable to be implemented in different conditions and
assure people about their future decisions.
The IR Leader advised the three branches of government to interact to
solve their differences, adding, "If differences rise over scope of
authority, it can be solved through interaction, referring to the
Constitution and using standpoints of elites."
Ayatollah Khamenei warned the representatives to avoid being influenced
by unpopular power folds inside the society and preserve their
independence in decision-making.
The IR Leader termed the Constitutional supervision of the parliament
as very important, adding, "The representatives should be vigilant to keep
the supervision from being transformed into conflict with other branches
of power."
He expressed his deep and sincere thanks to the former speaker of
Majlis, Gholam-Ali Haddad Adel for his efforts to block potential
differences between Majlis and other branches of government.
Ayatollah Khamenei also urged the lawmakers not to allow formation of
new aristocratic classes. "You should be pious and remain pious and resist
against complex seditions."
The IR Leader termed self-purification as the basis of all successes
and advised the elected representatives to seek God's help and appeal to
Koran and appreciate their short 4-year term.
9.6.2008
slamic Revolution Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei in a meeting
with the Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and his accompanying
delegation termed the presence of the occupying forces as the main hurdle
facing Iraq.
"I'm sure the Iraqi nation will pass the current tight situation and
reach its proper position through unity. America's dreams would certainly
fail," Ayatollah Khamenei added.
The IR Leader underlined that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers it
a religious duty to help the Iraqi nation and government.
Ayatollah Khamenei expressed hope that the Iraqi PM's visit to Tehran
and agreements to be reached in the visit would consolidate the bond of
friendship between Iran and Iraq.
Pointing to Nuri al-Maliki's remarks that unity was growing among the
country's different sects, Ayatollah Khamenei said, "Reaching a united
move is a big success. The success however has enemies who are the enemies
of the Iraqi government and nation."
Ayatollah Khamenei termed the presence of the occupiers specially the
American forces in Iraq and their interference in any Iraqi affair as the
main obstacle to unity in the country.
"Occupiers who are interfering in the Iraqi affairs with their military
and security power without any mandate are the biggest problem of the
country," IR Leader added.
Ayatollah Khamenei likened the ongoing US divisive efforts in Iraq to
those of Britain once the country gained independence with the difference
that the Americans were blocking the unity of Iraqis more brazenly.
The IR Leader urged all influential Iraqi bodies to find a way to get
the country out of the problem, adding that the Iraqi bodies which had
come to power with true vote of the nation should determine their own fate.
''A foreign agent which wants to dominate the Iraqi affairs is the most
important obstacle against the progress and prosperity of the Iraqi nation,"
he added.
The Iraqi Prime Minister expressed satisfaction that he had the
opportunity to meet the Ayatollah Khamenei once again.
Maliki thanked IRI's support to the Iraqi nation and said, "Iraq seeks
to have best of relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran."
Al-Maliki offered a report over the recent situation of the country and
the Iraqi government's efforts to overcome the problems specially
insecurity.
"Some problems including the daily bloodshed have reduced but some
other problems have remained which the Iraqi government and the parliament
are determined to resolve and return glory and independence to the Iraqi
people."
Maliki noted that the Iraqi officials from different sects had reached
common understanding to move in the path of prosperity and progress of
Iraq.
Meanwhile, IRI's First Vice President Parviz Davoudi was also present
in the meeting.
IRIB Tue, 03 Jun 2008
Islamic Revolution Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei in an address
to thousands of people at the Imam Khomeini's mausoleum said according to
the late Imam's guidelines the Islamic Revolution belongs to all now and
then Iranian generations and the Iranian big nation would preserve this
great and divine achievement under performing the late Imam's guidelines
in his last will and maintaining the Islamic Revolution's slogans, values
and principles under progress and innovation.
Pointing to the permanent affection of the Iranian nation specially the
youth generation to the late Imam Khomeini Ayatollah Khamenei said, "This
affection and respect to the late is not just belonged to the Iranian
nation but the people around the world specially the Islamic countries
have the same feelings towards Imam Khomeini which originated from two
main reasons: Greatness of the Imam Khomeini and greatness of the Islamic
Revolution.
He lauded Imam Khomeini's unique personality and said, "The Islamic
Revolution of Iran like Islam has different political, economic, social,
cultural and spiritual fields and is compatible with needs of mankind.
This issue has made the Islamic Revolution lasting and promoted it
worldwide."
Islamic Revolution Leader termed the last will of Imam Khomeini as the
best spiritual heritage and guideline for the nation in all issues and
developments and underlined that the nation from different walks of life
specially the youth generation and heads of three branches of government
should think deeply about the Imam's words in his last will because it is
a great guideline for the Iranian nation.
He termed the Imam's emphasis on the nation as the real owner of the
Revolution as the important point of his last will and added, "No
individual, fraction and class is not the owner of the Revolution and the
people would preserve this great achievement and its values."
Pointing to some efforts to change the slogans of the Islamic
Revolution Ayatollah Khmenei added," Some people are trying to change
religious, justice-seeking and anti-arrogance approach of the Revolution
on the guise of the new global developments but the nation would not allow
them to do this."
Islamic Revolution Leader said that the current youth generation like
the youth generation of the sacred defense era were the owner of the
Islamic Revolution and added," The current generation would guarantee the
permanence of the Revolution through its high revolutionary understanding
as well as scientific, social and political endeavors because all the
generations of the country have the same relationship with the revolution.
Ayatollah Khamenei noted that Imam's prediction over the expansion of
the Revolution was another main point in his last will and said,
"Expansion of the Revolution does not mean sending troops and promotion of
terrorism but it means the extension of the Islamic Revolution's teachings
specially defending the oppressed."
He termed Muslims' anti-arrogance and anti-Zionism acts as signs of
expansion of the late Imam's teachings and noted "Today even the Iranian
nation's slogan over the nuclear energy has turned into a public demand in
the Arab and Islamic countries. This shows that the Muslim nation consider
Iranian nations' goals with respect."
Pointing to the enemies' confession to expansion of the idea of
defending the Palestinian nation, he said "Today the Muslim nations like
Iranian nation consider the Zionist regime as a fake regime. Unfortunately
the rulers these nations have not the same view over this regime."
"Israel has lost its ability and has no power to stand but the America'
brazen support to the regime and not supporting the Palestinian nation by
the Arab and Islamic governments have created obstacles towards regional
changes."
"The enemies of the Islamic Revolution pretended that religion is
against progress and the Westernization is the factor of progress but the
great Imam underlined and showed that the spirit of the Revolution is the
spirit of progress and innovation."
He termed the Iranian nation's relying on its capabilities and moving
towards creativity and independence-seeking as the main reasons behind
enmity of the arrogant powers.
"The arrogant power opposed to the nuclear rights of the Iranian nation
because the Iranian nation could gain nuclear technology through their
knowledge, innovation and without depending on the cruel powers."
Ayatollah Khamenei added that if using this energy would lead to
dependence of a nation on these bullying powers, they would show no
disagreement with the issue.
"Today we can see that these big powers have signed nuclear contracts
with some countries which had less progress in relation to the Iranian
nation."
"The Iranian nation had expressed many times that it would never seeks
nuclear weapons and the Americans know this well but they can not deny our
indisputable rights clearly and trying to pose some false claims against
the Iranian nation."
Ayatollah Khamenei added that from the standpoint of Islam and wisdom
the Iranian and officials oppose to nuclear weapons but it would do its
best to follow its path towards using peaceful nuclear energy.
Another point of Imam Khomeini's last will was marking the arrogant
powers' psychological war for disappointing nations and added "When these
powers were unable to stand against a nation they appeal to psychological
war. For the reason they has misused this method against the Iranian
nation but they failed."
Addressing the active youth in seminaries and universities, Ayatollah
Khamenei said "Dear youth, you have achieve half of your goals and should
achieve another half of the remained goals through your fixed will."
Pointing to Imam Khomeini's warns against organized plots for making
the youth away from their religious motivations, the IR Leader said, "The
enemy tries to leads the youth astray through drugs and sensual affairs to
block progress of the Iranian nation. The nation and officials should be
vigilant against these plots and make serious efforts in this regard."
IR Leader pointed to resistance against the bullying powers as the main
point of the Imam's last will and said, "Surrendering to the oppressive
powers would increase their rudeness and a nation who wants to save itself
from oppressive powers and America it should resist firmly against them."
Pointing to the illogical behaviors of the American rulers and added
that these moved indicates the defeats of the American ruling party in
different parts of the world specially Iraq and Afghanistan.
"Emphasis on following the Imam Khomeini's way is a blessed phenomena
but a distinguished point of Imam's views was resisting against bullying
powers. The elites and political parties of the country should maintain
their strength against these powers."
Pointing to the America and Zionists' political and psychological war
against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei underlined that
America and Zionists' allegations over violation of human rights in Iran
had no base moreover among the world nations and they would never believe
these claims.
Tue, 03 Jun 2008 14:28:44
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says
that nations regard Israel as a fake regime imposed on the region.
"The Zionist regime has no power. It is incapable of standing by itself;
it owes its existence to two obvious factors: unconditional and impudent
support of the US and the Islamic and Arab countries' reluctance to back
the Palestinian people," the Leader said while addressing a ceremony to
commemorate the 19th demise anniversary of the Founder of the Islamic
Revolution, the late Imam Khomeini, at his mausoleum in southern Tehran,
Tuesday.
"Unfortunately, many Islamic governments have failed to carry out their
duty toward the Palestinian people. If they had adopted the same stance as
their nations and provided support to the oppressed people of Palestine,
the situation would have been totally different in the region from what it
is today," the Leader said.
Ayatollah Khamenei added that anti-arrogance slogans of the Iranian
nation have spread across the Islamic world and stated that nations honor
the ideals and noble motives of the Iranian people.
"Commitment to Islamic principles; struggle against cruelty and
arrogance; defense of the oppressed nations, the Palestinians in
particular; and enmity toward the octopus-like Zionism are the favorite
slogans of the Iranian people," the Leader noted.
Ayatollah Khamenei went on to say that the slogan of the Iranian nation
regarding its inalienable right to peaceful nuclear technology, its
resistance against pressures by the enemies and its insistence on the
realization of its right has struck such a deep chord in the world of
Islam that the acquisition of nuclear technology has now turned into a
popular demand in the majority of Arab countries.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader stressed that the Iranian nation
should remain wise and be aware of the fact that the Islamic Revolution
would survive on the strength of its highly cherished slogans.
Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the Islamic Revolution belongs to all
Iranians and advised that they do everything in their power to preserve
it.
Islamic Revolution cut
hands of arrogance
Tue, 03 Jun 2008 12:23:33
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the
revolution cut the hands of the arrogance from the Islamic world.
The Leader was addressing a large gathering commemorating the 19th
demise anniversary of the Founder of the Islamic Revolution, the late Imam
Khomeini, at his mausoleum in southern Tehran, Tuesday.
"Imam Khomeini believed that unlike other revolutions, the Islamic
Revolution should not spread through sedition, military expedition or
terrorism," the Leader said, adding that the Iranian people should strive
toward turning their Islamic Revolution into a model for other Muslim
nations.
"The Islamic Revolution should reach such a level of evolution as to
encourage other nations to follow the same course. It should promote
Islamic teachings through a transparent defense of the oppressed nations
in the Islamic world, who have long been targeted by the global arrogance,"
Ayatollah Khamenei said.
"The Islamic Revolution differs from other revolutions in that it was
not merely a spiritual, cultural, economic and political revolution. It
was indeed an all-out revolution with the same identity as Islam itself,"
the Leader opined.
US officials must think
rationally
Tue, 03 Jun 2008 16:33:52
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution says US failures in Iraq and
Afghanistan reflect the 'irrational' approach adopted by Washington.
The remarks made by the US President and his aides and advisors bring
to mind the words of the 'mentally unstable', said Ayatollah Seyyed Ali
Khamenei in a Tuesday ceremony held in commemoration of the founder of the
Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
“Sometimes they make threats, sometimes they order assassinations,
there are times when they make accusations and times when out of
desperation they ask for help. They even target a nation's security and
stability," the Leader expounded.
“A significant part of their erratic behavior stems from their failure
in different parts of the world especially in Afghanistan and Iraq,”
Ayatollah Khamenei added.
The Leader urged the nation to continue its resistance against the
bullying powers of the world and cautioned that the enemy would never
cease its psychological and political onslaught on the country.
Referring to the enemy's smear campaign against Iran over its nuclear
program, Ayatollah Khamenei said that the US psy-war had lost its effect
worldwide.
"Iranians have no interest in nuclear arms, as such weapons are against
our national and ideological principles and against our Islamic values".
"The Iranian nation only seeks to use nuclear energy for peaceful
purposes. We will continue in our peaceful path and we will achieve our
aim," the Leader concluded.
