The Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei expressed
his condolences on the sad occasion of demise of Ayatollah Ali Meshkini.
In parts of the message, the Islamic Revolution Leader said, "Demise of
such a pious and devoted Alim has caused deep sorrow and grief for me."
The message continued, "The honorable Alim was a rare character in all
his life and was a model for his students and followers."
"Although he had a top position in the Islamic Republic as the head of
the Leadership Assembly of Experts, he always lived a humble life."
"Demise of such an spiritual man and honorable Alim is a great loss."
The Leader concluded, "I condole with his honorable family, the whole
nation, religious authorities and seminaries and I beg Allah the almighty
to have mercy on his soul."

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei Saturday
acclaimed the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali, greeting to him, as the
bright and never-setting sun of human history and the immense ocean of
wonders and beauties.
"The lifestyle of the Commander of the Faithful is characterized by
seeking justice, keeping faith and standing up to the tyrants and
oppressors," Ayatollah Khamenei said, adding that the road to the great
aspirations of the Iranian nation passes through perseverance.
The Islamic Revolution Leader extended felicitations to the Islamic
Ummah on the auspicious birth anniversary of the Honorable Imam, noting
that Imam Ali belongs to human being.
"This is the great personality of his eminence that has made every
Muslim, either Shii or Sunni, every follower of the Divine religions and
even his enemies to exercise a humble attitude towards him," Ayatollah
Khamenei said.
Ayatollah Khamenei underlined that the dimensions of the great ocean of
Imam Ali's personality is not amenable to understanding, save for the
immaculate household of the noblest messenger of Allah, greeting to them.
"Whatever the human being could realize about the Commander of the
Faithful merely covers the surface of the profound ocean of his
personality so that the depth of the intricate ocean remains out of access
even for the wise," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
Ayatollah Khamenei said every period of Imam Ali's life provides a fine
example for the salvation of man.
"Ali Ibn Abi Talib has turned into a fine model in every period of
human life due to his conduct as a teen, as a young man, at time of mass
Muslim immigration (following enemy pressure), during the formation of the
Islamic ruling, in his 25 years of silence following the departure of the
Messenger to secure Muslim integrity as well as in his unwavering drive
for justice throughout his ruling," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
The Islamic Revolution Leader said Imam Ali's character is marked with

Ayatollah Khamenei called the Islamic Republic as, though incomplete, a
manifestation of Imam Ali's aspirations, adding that the Islamic System is
identified with justice seeking as well as campaign against tyranny and
discrimination and for the same reason the masters of wealth and force who
trample on the humanity in the guise of democracy are at loggerhead with
the Islamic Republic.
The Islamic Revolution Leader said the Islamic Republic reflects the

The Islamic Revolution Leader, Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei said on
Monday that the status and role of countries and nations in international
system should be based on their talents and scientific capacity.
The Islamic Revolution Leader made the remarks in a meeting with
scientists and researchers at Royan Research Center in Tehran.
Ayatollah Khamenei inspected various parts of the center and was
briefed by the officials in charge of the center on the performance and
great achievements of the center in recent years.
Addressing the personnel of the scientific center, the Islamic
Revolution Leader said the aim behind his visit is to praise the
significant endeavors of Iranian scientists and researchers who spare no
efforts to expedite the country's development.
The Islamic Revolution Leader described the significant role of
University Jihad in launching a wise and vigilant campaign in line with
the scientific aspirations of the country.
"Learning various sciences and knowledge from other nations would be a
prelude to motion in the wider fields of sciences and research," said the
Islamic Revolution Leader.
Criticizing the global hegemony, he underlined that the status and role
of countries and nations in international system should be defined
according to their talents and scientific capabilities.
"Some big powers have monopolized sciences and by adopting bullying
policies have divided the world into developed and underdeveloped sections
which should be changed," He added.
Ayatollah Khamenei said scientific development of nations is the only
way to put an end to hegemony of superpowers, he said, adding that the
Iranian nation with its glorious civilization and deeply-rooted culture
and scientific capabilities can play a key role in this regard.
It is the duty of government to render services to scientific and
research centers to help them implement their programs properly, the
Islamic Revolution Leader said.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei on Sunday
reappointed three jurist members of the Constitutional Guardian Council.
In separate decrees, the IR Leader reappointed Ayatollah Mohammad Yazdi,
Ayatollah Mohammad Momen and Hojjatoleslam Sadeq Larijani as new jurist
members of the Council.
"With respect to end of your tenure as members of the Guardian Council
and according to Principle 91 of the Constitution, I reappoint you as the
Council's members for a determined legal period," the Leader said in his
separate decrees to the three jurisprudents.
Ayatollah Khamenei also wished success for them.

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei Thursday
described the Constitutional Guardian Council as an establishment whose
presence secures the legitimacy and the Islamic root of the System.
The IR Leader made the remarks in a meeting with members of the council
as well as its delegates in the supervisory branches.
"The Guardian Council must only follow the lawful criteria in making
any judgment or verdict bereft of any preservations," Ayatollah Khamenei
