Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei Tuesday
described the ongoing insecurity in Iraq as the essential source of
concern in the country, adding that the unabated insecurity and bloodshed
in Iraq proves to be detrimental to all the regional countries.
Ayatollah Khamenei affirmed to a visiting Iraqi President Jalal
Talabani that the Islamic Republic of Iran take it as its human and
religious duty to help restore stability in Iraq.
Ayatollah Khamenei reaffirmed IRI's call for a secure, advanced and
developed Iraq and that it considers the security of the Iraqi cities as
its own security.
"In the event that the Iraqi government issues a call, Iran will spare
no effort to help restore stability and security in Iraq," Ayatollah
Khamenei vowed.
Ayatollah Khamenei cautioned Talabani that the ongoing insecurity is
aimed at destabilizing the democratic Iraqi government, adding, "Those who
once conspired a ploy for Iraq and then saw it botched are now bent on
destabilizing the situation in every possible way through their agents in
the field that include terrorists, takfiris (excommunicators) and former
Baathists."
Ayatollah Khamenei noted that the perpetrators involved in the Iaqi
insecurity conceal their face behind the cover of Shia-Sunni conflict,
adding, "The truth is the Shiite and Sunni people have already lived
alongside each other for centuries without any internal dispute."
The IR Leader said the Iraqi people are suffering a colossal misery and
sorrow from the perpetuated policy of insecurity, adding, "Those involved
in the policy are intended to bring a Saddam-like dictator to power but
will definitely fail to fulfill their intention."
"Americans by no means would succeed in Iraq and their continued
occupation of the country is not a bite for America to swallow," Ayatollah
Khamenei underlined.
"A first measure to resolve the problem of insecurity in Iraq is
delivering the security affairs to the Iraqi democratic government,"
Ayatollah Khamenei said emphatically.
Ayatollah Khamenei also urged putting final touches on the mutual
agreements between the two countries as a means to broaden bilateral
relations.
In the meeting, in which President Mahmoud Ahmainejad was also present,
President Jalal Talabani expressed pleasure with his renewed visit to Iran
and described the expansion of Tehran-Baghdad relations as beneficial to
the two sides as well as the entire region.
Concerning the Iraqi insecurity, Talabani said that the perpetrators
behind the Iraqi insecurity are those who are fazed with the existence of
a democratic and modern Iraq run by a democratic government.
Talabani revealed that the security affairs are not in control of the
Iraqi government and if the Iraqi security is delivered to its own
government, full-fledged security can be restored in the country through
mobilizing the public forces.
The Iraqi President praised the Islamic Republic of Iran for its aid to
the Iraqi people in different stages of the country's developments.

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei told a cadetship
badge ceremony Saturday that Islam has a different logic to build army
from that of the world materialistic rulings, adding, the armed forces in
the Islamic Republic of Iran take front in defense of justice, rights of
the public and the underprivileged and perform as the strong bulwark of
national security and values of Islam and the Revolution.
The Commander-in-Chief dismissed the views of global masters of money
and force about building army as a means to seek and maintain power,

In a ceremony held in Imam Hussein Cadet Academy affiliated to Islamic
Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) to mark IRI Founder Imam Khomeini's
directive to establish Basij Organization, Ayatollah Khamenei said the
IRGC was featured by its formation as a follow-up to revolutionary values.
"To continute work, the Guard must command determined persons to defend
the nation based on the same revolutionary values even in the absence of
the conditions of early revolution and the Sacred Defense," Ayatollah
Khamenei said.
Ayatollah Khamenei urged the audience to foster their relations with
the Almighty and rely on Him and to promote their intellectual, physical
and training skills. "The Armed Forces including the Guard portray the
power and resolve of the Iranian nation and their preparedness will force
enemies to change their mind and abandon greed over the country.
Early in the ceremony, the Commander-in-Chief paid homage to the
martyrs memorial in the premises of the academy and performed the opening

Ayatollah Khamenei also granted badges to first-ever graduates of the
Academy and handed gifts to the war veterans, top cadet officers and dons
as well as families of the martyrs of the academy.
Elsewhere, addressing senior commanders, authorities and governors of
the IRGC's academies, Ayatollah Khamenei praised the authorities and
teachers of Imam Hussein military academy for their significant role in
promoting the cadet officers in terms of knowledge and training.
"In this academy, sagacious, knowledgeable, and valiant persons must be
trained through due scientific training and by providing grounds for
scientific innovation and courage to emerge," the IR Leader underlined.
Ayatollah Khamenei praised the IRGC for its large potentials of
revolutionary, faithful and calibered individuals, urging the relevant
authorities to keep on their regard for human resources and training
matters.

confronting bullying powers by standing against them

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei
in a meeting with Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe here Tuesday said
that a proper way to confront bullying powers is to stand against them,
given that withdrawal will not thwart the insatiable appetite of hegemonic
powers.
Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the weakening of world arrogance and
strengthening of the independence seeking countries and said that even
today, the world arrogance attempts to control the fate of other nations
and countries by waging wars, sowing the seed of discord among world
states, imposing economic sanctions against them, security measures as
well as exerting political and propaganda pressures on them.
"However, it is witnessed that the resistance of world nations and
independent countries can lead to constant failure of the world arrogance
-- particularly the US -- in Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Afghanistan and
other regions," added the Supreme Leader.
Turning to Mugabe as a prominent and courageous African figure,
Ayatollah Khamenei said, "Measures taken by him such as division of the

against Zimbabwe and Iran themselves continuously commit crimes.
He expressed confidence that the enemies of humanity are doomed to
failure, adding that Iran will emerge as a powerful country, just as it

President Mugabe thanked for the support of the Iranian government for
his country and said, "Given our will to further broaden ties with Iran,
we are confident that new horizons will be opened in mutual ties during
the current visit."

Islamic Revolution Leader's office issued a statement Tuesday condoling
the demise of the religious Athority Ayatollah Mirza Javad Tabrizi.
"Painful demise of the eminent religious Authority and honorable jurist,
Ayatollah Mirza Javad Tabrizi, who was an invaluable master in the Qoam
Religious School and offered many services to Islam and Shiism true sect,
made us sad. We offer condolences to the religious authorities, religious
schools specially Qom holy school and his sons," the statement said.
The IR Leader's office is to hold a commemoration ceremony in Qom grand
mosque on Nov 22 and at Tehran's Motahari School on Nov 25.

performed towards the sage Leader helped revive the living reality in the
mind of people in home and across the world that the strong bond the
Iranian people keep in heart for the Vali Faghih and the honorable Leader
of revolution depicts a blessing tree that is watered by the bountiful
headspring of the faith and awareness of the devout and revolutionary
people of the great land of Iran and for the same reason, it grows further
lively, firm and lush.

the IR Leader's representative to the province, the provincial deputies in

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei told a visiting
Lebanese Parliament speaker Nabih Berri and a delegation of Lebanese
Hezbollah and Amal movements that the victory of the Lebanese Islamic
Resistance Movement in the 33-day war against the Zionist regime has
provided a source of honor and pride for the Muslims.
"What took place during the 33-day battle against America and the
Zionist regime has no antecedent in the world of Arab and Islam and the
dimensions of the great and invaluable event will further surface in
future," Ayatollah Khamenei said.
Ayatollah Khamenei called Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan
Nasrallah a singular figure and appreciated Nabih Berri for his role
during the 33-day resistance, saying, "The stage of the great victory was
effectively set by the unity and solidarity among brothers of Hezbollah
and Amal." Ayatollah Khamenei urged further strengthening of the unanimous
attitude.
The Islamic Revolution Leader warned about possible political ploys by
America and the Zionist regime to discourage the effects of the victory in

warm-blooded people in Garmsar north of Iran Sunday that the Islamic

adding, "Years ago, I warned about the involvement of alien hands in the
administration of the country's cultural affairs, media and propagation,
but some individuals denied it, but at the end every one admitted to it."

of freedom of expression, adding, a clear evidence of freedom of
expression is that some press are freely write against the Administration
and the System whereas the people pay no attention to them.

The IR Leader said a few years ago, several American politicians
claimed in a report that there was a group in Iran who were waiting for a

including the martyr Shahcheraqi and the martyr Momeni.
The Leader acknowledged that the province has experienced an extensive
development compared to the past but though enjoying broad human talents
and natural resources, it is still grappled with many problems. Ayatollah
Khamenei called on the people and the relevant authorities to resolve the
problems.
The IR Leader affirmed that in the Islamic Republic System, the

Islamic Revolution Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei told an academic
function in the northeastern province of Semnan Thursday morning that the
elites of the seminary and the university must run the country through
developments by undertaking both the world standards and at the same time

stagnant society that experiences quick but accurate changes.
Ayatollah Khamenei reckoned that there are several requirements to

of competitiveness, planning and opting for an accurate policy.
"Opposite to the requirements are matters like behavioral and political

identity and fundamental bases of the society that never cause favorable
changes to happen, rather, they are followed by a backward trend," the IR
Leader noted.
Ayatollah Khamenei rejected that national identity counters religious
identity, adding it (national identity) is made up of beliefs, demands and
attitudes of a nation and no question the set of beliefs of a faithful and
monotheist nation constitutes a component of its national identity.
Ayatollah Khamenei then warned about a big threat posed by the
dominance of Zionism and global capitalism over the world developments,
adding international networks of money and force which formed NATO
military organization to grab dominance over the nations' wealth are now
bent on forming a cultural NATO in which to adopt multifaceted media
capacities to take hold of socio-cultural and politico-economic
developments of nations to further promote their goals and destroy
national identity of human communities.
Ayatollah Khamenei underlined vigilance in this regard.
Ayatollah Khamenei urged for adopting an accurate attitude towards
developments and in this raised the new debate of "management of
developments," adding, by sticking to past and denying innovation one may
reach nowhere, while at the same time by ferment, in cultural, political,

praised the Shi'a clerics' independence and their democratic approach, as

Ayatollah Khamenei during the Wednesday night meeting considered the
main characteristic of the Shi'a clerics to be their "independence and

Iran's history and in prevailing conditions in the country.
The Islamic Revolution Leader added, "contrary to the status of the
clergy in other religions, the Shi'a scholars are merely dependent on the
people's support and are in the service of the people, which is a great
phenomenon that needs to be preserved."
Referring to the deep and two-way relations between the clerics and the
people, Ayatollah Khamenei said, "this has given the Shi'a clerics a
pioneer status in various historic eras, including during Iran's
constitutional revolution, the nationalization of the country's oil

The Islamic Revolution Leader emphasized that the clerics need to
remain at the political scene, denouncing the continuous efforts made by
the global arrogance to detach them from political activities.

Belarus-Iran-Meet
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei here Monday evening said
that the Islamic Republic of Iran harbors no animosity with any country
but will seriously defend its interests whenever threatened.
During a meeting with the visiting Belarus President Alexander
Lukashenko and his accompanying delegation, the Supreme Leader urged
cooperation and coordination among independent states, saying greater
coherence would effectively guard their interests to the benefit of their
nations.
Referring to the great potential of both Iran and Belarus to expand
their current cooperation, Ayatollah Khamenei voiced Iran's readiness to
expand its economic and trade cooperation with Belarus.
Underlining the importance of continuing their resistance against
pressures exerted by bullying powers, the Supreme Leader called on
independent states to forge a closer cooperation in order to realize their
objectives.
He also stressed the importance of public opinion, saying resistance
coupled with public support ensures victory of independent states against
dictatorial powers.
Referring to US interference and its continued presence in countries of
the world, including the Middle East, the Supreme Leader said its presence
is the result of the weak and wrong policies of regional states.

The Islamic Revolution Leader, Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei, in a
meeting with Belarussian President, Alexander Lukashenko underlined that
independent countries' united wills will lead to promotion of their power
and influence and is in line with their interests.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran and Belarus enjoy many fields to bolster
bilateral ties in different arenas and Iranian government is completely
ready to strengthen relations specially in economic and trade sectors with
Belarus," the IR Leader said.
Pointing to the boosting multilateral ties between the two countries,
Ayatollah Khamenei said that more collaboration among independent
countries is necessary for resistance against the arrogant's pressures."
"Lack of unity among officials and weak support of public opinion, are
the cause of disability of many countries which seem independent, against
the arrogant," the IR Leader added.
Reffering to America's interferences in different regions of the world
specially in the Middle East, he reiterated that the main reason is

we should increase our will and strength through more relations and using
the people support to fight against arrogant powers."
