Leader stresses on Muslim
unity
Tehran, Nov 4 - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution considered Eid
al-fitr as one of the commonalties in the world Muslim and highlighted its
significance for the unity of the Islamic nations.
"Today, Islamic nations have got awakened and the Islamic Ummah stands
as an undeniable global reality", Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei told a
meeting of government official as well as people from different strata. He
prayed to God for the final materialization of the hope the Islamic
Republic has created in the hearts of the Islamic nations by uplifting the
flag of Islam.
He thanked the Iranian nation and the world Muslim for the massive and
enthusiastic presence in the rallies of the World Qods Day, which resulted
in the revival of the Palestinian and Al-Qods issue in the global arena.
"If the usurpers of Palestine and their international advocates once
dreamed that the Palestinian issue will be let slip, the Palestinian
nation's resistance and the Islamic ardor practiced by the world Muslim
regarding the sacred Qods have made their false illusion end up in tatters."
Ayatollah Khamenei underscored that any backtrack of the Islamic
government in the face of arrogant powers, the America's arrogant
government in particular, will add their impudence.
"International powers in spite of their propaganda campaigns and
uproars are not absolute and endless powers", he noted, emphasizing that
they will see their desires failed given the nations' resistance. He
reminded of the Iraqi case as an example which never took the occupiers'
desired form.
He, however, declared that the Islamic Republic suspects the US and
Israeli espionage bodies have hands behind the ongoing terrorist attacks
in Iraq.
The leader considered the resistance of the Palestinian nation and
Islamic nations as much effective in the failure of those powers' whims.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran's idea in the Palestinian issue is a
repeatedly announced logical argument; all the Palestinian population must
be allowed to select the Palestinian government during a free polls and
before the eyes of the world," he said, adding, that legitimate government
must put on dock the criminals of the Palestinian territories, including
Sharon and others, in a competent court.
He termed the proposal a touchstone to assess the truthfulness of those
who defend the human rights.
Prior to the Leader's speech, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made some
remarks.
He felicitates the Iranian nation and world Muslim on the auspicious
Eid al-Fitr. He deplored that in today's world power is mostly held
tightly by those who show no adherence to divine teachings and no stand no
rightful idea, while also oppressing and plundering man' properties and
committing terror acts.
The President reaffirmed that the IRI's backing for the rights of
oppressed nations, especially the Palestinian nation, comes in line with
defending justice, peace and affection to innocent human bodies.
"Despite the arrogant powers' desire, the world treads on the
materialization of justice", he said.
"According to the Lord's vows, the righteous will inherit the earth".
