said on Sunday that martyrs are the advocates of justice and religious wisdom. In a
meeting with families of the martyrs in Kashan, Isfahan province, the Supreme Leader said

Tehran, Nov 11, IRNA -- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei
said on Sunday that the people and officials are expected to promote religious democracy
in the country. Addressing several hundred thousand people who had gathered to welcome the
Leader in Kashan, Isfahan province, Ayatollah Khamenei said that the people and the
officials should make every endeavor to lead the country toward multilateral progress and
reconstruction. The Leader said that the idea of separating religion from the government
system has led to establishment of dictatorship in Iran in the past 100 years adding that
religion has been successful in mobilizing the people against the despotic rules in Iran
(which culminated in the victory of the Islamic Revolution). "Ayatollah Kashani
mobilized popular support for (Prime Minister) Dr. Mohammad Mossadeq in 1940s (until 1953
-- the US backed military coup), but, the enemy had realized the effective role of
religious leader Ayatollah Kashani in supporting the prime minister in nationalizing the
oil industry, so that it engineered various plots to sow discord between the government
and the religious leader to undermine the (nationalist) government. Eventually, it
initiated a military coup in 1953 and help Mohammad Reza Pahlavi to restore his
dictatorship," the Leader recalled. The Supreme Leader further recalled the events in
different stages of the Constitutional Movement in Iran (culminated in 1906 with a
signature put by Mozaffar-eddin Shah of Qajar dynasty on the then Constitution) and said
that Britain installed the puppet regime of Reza Khan Pahlavi to drive the constitutional
movement to failure. Ayatollah Khamenei advised the youth to learn lessons from the
history of their country and reach the point why the late Imam Khomeini foiled the
attempts to separate religion from the government system. "Despite enemy attempts to
make the youth disenchanted with the religious nature of the Islamic Republic, the youth
have got acquainted with the beauty of religious attitude in the past 23 years and have
hoisted the flag of Islam over the country," the Supreme Leader said. The Leader
cautioned the officials against engaging in partisan conflicts and missing the
opportunities to pave the way for the progress and welfare of the people. The Leader said
that extensive development plans have been carried out in the country in the past 23 years
and recommended that the achievements of the former governments should not be played down.
The Supreme Leader said that the youth are national human assets to go ahead with the
development plans adding that the country will reach ultimate prosperity and progress to
the dismay of the big powers. Ayatollah Khamenei said that the world community is
suffering from absence of justice and morality adding that the Iranian youth are the
standard bearer of justice and morality so that the world community would follow the
pattern of the Islamic Republic in honoring justice and morality.

Isfahan, Nov 5, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
said in Isfahan on Monday that the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution was the outcome
of efforts and initiatives made by the late Imam Khomeini adding that following Imam
Khomeini's path is the only way to protect Iran's freedom and independence. Addressing a
large gathering of the personnel of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), basij
volunteer forces and families of the martyrs of the Isfahan province, Ayatollah Khamenei
said following the late Imam's path means sticking to the Islamic instructions, values and

The leader went on to say that those who are currently after minimizing the mottos and

and thoughts are committing an unpardonable treason. Ayatollah Khamenei said here earlier
that officials and Iranian nation are duty-bound to follow the path of martyrs, that is
materialization of the Islamic aspirations. Talking to tens of thousand of the bereaved
families of martyrs, the war disabled, and former Prisoners of War in Isfahan, Ayatollah
Khamenei remarked that the society should benefit the ever-shining path of the martyrs
through avoiding negligence and barriers of spiritual fulfillment. The brave youth who
sacrificed themselves during the eight-year imposed war (1980-88) had been well aware of
the importance of their move, said the leader, adding that the martyrs knew very well that
territorial problems were not the only problem at issue, rather the enemies were trying to
harm the dignity of the Iranian nation and to prevent the spread of Iran's innovative
notions. He said self-confidence of Muslim nations and their opposition to the arrogants
are among results achieved through the invaluable efforts of the sacred defense martyrs
and other war veterans. He warned against neglecting the path trodden by the martyrs whom
he called ``divine blessings and precious reserves," adding that the late Imam
Khomeini's path and goals, clearly defined in his last will and testament, had served as
the sole yardstick for the martyrs in their divine efforts, and the same should trace our
today's way of life.

Isfahan, Nov 3, IRNA -- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei
on Saturday received a large number of students at Isfahan University of Medical Science
and put forward political analysis about the process of democracy in the Islamic
Republic.
The Supreme Leader advised the youth to honor the national and Islamic identity of the
Iranian nation. "The Iranian youth are expected to promote the status of their
country at the global level and work for the progress and success of the nation," the
Leader told the university students. The Supreme Leader said that the youth are the
genuine supporters of reform programs, because they want justice, legitimate freedoms and
Islamic values. The human being, at a young age, cannot tolerate injustice. "What the
youth want is not contradictory to the aspirations of Islam, instead, it is the necessity
of Islam," the Leader pointed out. The Leader said that Iran has a large young
population and the youth shoulder religious obligation to safeguard their national
identity and Iran's collective interests proportionate with their high percentage of
population. The Leader said that the youth should promote national and Islamic advantages
and explore the contradiction of former monarchical regime with Islamic values.
"Islam helped the Iranian nation free itself from humiliation of the arrogant powers
during the past centuries. Islam helped the nation mobilize its forces to stand against
the arrogant powers and establish a system of government with new perceptions in line with
moral values," the Supreme Leader said. The Iranians have formed a democratically
elected system of government on the basis of popular votes in line with Islamic values and
established an independent country in a sensitive area of the world so that it is normal
that the enemies would continue their hostile policy toward Iran. "Under this
circumstances, is it possible the youth would remain indifferent in the face of various
conspiracies? the Supreme Leader questioned adding, "How can someone say that the
`hostile conspiracies are illusive'? "We, the Iranian nation, have found our path and
are determined to proceed with it. We will maintain our determination thanks to the help
of the Almighty," the Leader said. The Leader complained that some people give
Western prescriptions for solving the current problems and said that the essence of
Western solution to the problems is that the Palestinian nation have been deprived of
their rights and have been exposed to mass killings and homelessness in the past 50
years.
"It is surprising that some people who have become well-known for their adherence to
Islam and the Islamic Revolution and the late Imam Khomeini, voices interest in Western
liberalism which runs contrary to Iran's religious democracy," the Supreme Leader
said. Ayatollah Khamenei said that the Islamic Republic has solid foundation and even the
biggest enmity could not work to undermine its solid foundation. The Leader said that the
Constitution, the late Imam Khomeini's line and the general policy of the Islamic Republic
are the criteria that should be respected. The Supreme Leader emphasized that the youth
should cooperate with the government in its development programs and plans to generate
more jobs. Ayatollah Khamenei hoped the youth would help accomplish the aspirations of the
Islamic Republic set by earlier generation.

Tehran, Nov 1, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
said in Isfahan on Wednesday that officials and Iranian nation are duty-bound to follow
the path of martyrs, that is materialization of the Islamic aspirations. Addressing tens
of thousand of the bereaved families of martyrs, the war disabled, and former Prisoners of
War in Isfahan, Ayatollah Khamenei remarked that the society should benefit the
ever-shining path of the martyrs through avoiding negligence and barriers of spiritual
fulfilment. The leader said high social awareness and lofty spirit had been the key
features of the martyrs. The brave youth who sacrificed themselves during the eight-year
imposed war (1980-88) had been well aware of the importance of their move, said the
leader, adding that the martyrs knew very well that territorial problems were not the only
problem at issue, rather the enemies were trying to harm the dignity of the Iranian nation

university professors in Isfahan called as awful evils the factionalism and political
leanings at universities, noting that factional issues should not at all be raised at
classes and scientific centers and should not influence the selection of officials and
directors. Ayatollah Khamenei said all problems of the country can be solved and the
ground for progress is available provided that sincere, consistent and definite efforts
are made. Also addressing a group of armed forces in the historical city on
Wednesday,
Ayatollah Khamenei said awareness coupled with devotion for lofty divine causes are the
keys to invincibility of the armed forces. The paramount leader said armed forces do not
serve raising power of a person or group because the Islamic system is not a system for
persons, rather, a system for aspirations. Ayatollah Khamenei said under such a system,
armed forces strive for God, the elevation of Islam, and the dignity and prestige of the
nation and country. This, added the leader, gives the armed forces an invincible
spirit,
ability and power. The commander-in-chief of the armed forces said the Iranian nation
firmly believe in the armed forces, stressing that the armed forces should safeguard
national trust as they raise their preparedness and be always well-prepared for devotion
in the path of Islam, the Revolution and Iran. Ayatollah Khamenei said power,
self-confidence and spirit of the armed forces result from ideological and cultural
foundations of Islam. After the leader's address, the elite units of the Islamic Republic
Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), police, Basij and Tribal Basij marched
before him.

Tehran, Nov 1, IRNA -- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei
said in Najafabad, Isfahan, on Thursday that the Iranian nation would neutralize the
conspiracies of the enemy and proceed the path of Islamic Revolution. The Supreme Leader
felicitated tens of thousand people of Najafabad who had enthusiastically gathered to
welcome him on the birth anniversary of the twelfth Imam Qaem Mahdi (AS). The Leader paid
tribute to the martyrs of the city and the religious figures teaching at the city's
renowned theological school. Ayatollah Khamenei said that enemy makes every endeavors to
undermine the memory of the revolutionary figures and symbols of self-sacrifice hoping
that they would fall into oblivion. "But, Iranian nation does not want to build a
bridge for enemies to dominate the country,'' said the Leader. The Supreme Leader
referring to someone who had once said that the Islamic Revolution was over, remarked that
the man had become mouthpiece of the enemy because of his negligence or maybe
treason. The
Leader said that the process of the Islamic Revolution is endless. The U.S. and other
arrogant powers in the world, who have suffered blows by the Iranian nation's
movement,
have attempted to compensate the past blows through launching smear campaigns and cultural
inroads and by humiliating Iranian people's slogans and aspirations, added the
leader.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the leader said the enemy has launched heavy attacks on the
symbols of Iranian nation's aspirations and that unfortunately, there are certain people
in the country who carelessly provoke vain differences, thus helping the enemy reach its
goals. The leader said Iranian nation should be fully aware of foreign enemies and at the
same time should not be ignorant of internal enemies. The Ayatollah said some people are
misusing the sincerity of the youth and along with the enemy spread rumors and lies,
magnify weak points and distort realities of the revolution so as to misguide the youth
about the history of the revolution and the sacred defense period. "This is an
injustice to Islam, revolution and people," said the paramount leader. The leader
said enemy's hope for materialization of its goals in Iran is a false dream. Advising the
officials to refrain from discord in performing their duties, The leader said that the
programs for removal of the youth's unemployment problem and constant campaign against
financial and economic corruption would be pursued seriously. Concluding his
remarks,
Ayatollah Khamenei hoped for speedy removal of the problems facing people of
