Ayatollah Khamene’i, the leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran
has said: "The aim of the global arrogance and the U.S. in disarming Middle East
countries is to encounter Islam and put pressure on Islamic movements". He made this
Remark on the 11th of July in a meeting with Friday prayer leaders and
religious speakers. He said: "Most arms in the Middle East have been
produced,
imported and stockpiled by the Zionists, who pose the greatest cause of tension in this
region, but the Americans will not disarm it. In contrast they will equip it more than
before.
He said: "The U.S. plan to disarm the Middle East means that this
oil-riched and wealthy region should be empty-handed and free of arms so that power
wielders can influence OPEC and decide the oil price and no one would dare to block the
export of even a single drop of oil. This may not be acceptable to other nations. The
Muslim nation of Iran will not allow anyone to decide for them and this policy of the
arrogance will not succeed.
